Who's your pick?

I think ( I hope ) Rickie Fowler may win this week

Another one to watch is A.K after his performance last week.

Looks like a nice course they're playing

One missed cut the entire season? Sure it was last week but he is probably the 'in form' golfer of the year minus Luke Donald

Yeah...terrible form

One 2nd, one 3rd, 8 top 10's and 12 top 25s

EDIT: Hopefully someone can fix the RBA and turn it into RBC ( it's my bank FFS and I screwed it up! )

Start another thread (or two).

I'm going old school with my pick.

Jim Furyk

Mizuno MP600 driver, Cleveland '09 Launcher 3-wood, Callaway FTiz 18 degree hybrid, Cleveland TA1 3-9, Scratch SS8620 47, 53, 58, Cleveland Classic 2 mid-mallet, Bridgestone B330S, Sun Mountain four5.

He isn't playing up to his standards. He hasn't been striking it as well lately (From what I've seen).

I also said he wasn't in 'great' form. I didn't say anything about him being in 'terrible' form as you think I said. Sorry for apparently being wrong though

I didn't say you said he was in terrible form? I said "terrible form"

Either way, he is in great form. His results speak to that.

This course is tree lined like crazy so anyone who's accurate with their irons and can scramble will do well.

With that said, I can see Donald, Kuchar, Fowler, Mahan (due to his great driving) and Furyk doing well.

I want to say AK but he's a little too wild off of the tee lately and this course will eat you up if you aren't consistently on the fairway.

Kieran123, you can change the title yourself. To the right of the title should be a 'change title' option. I've had to use it a few times myself

Who are the big names in the field this week, other than the RBC tour staff? Vancouver is a long way from the UK (even further than Toronto), so I would have assumed this to be a skip for anyone not contractually obligated to be there.

Hey, you the guy who spent the bulk of last year's short Canadian Open thread trashing the eventual winner because he's a poor putter, ball striker, etc. This might in reality be a second tier event, but Canadians refer to as "The Open", so, "grain of salt" and all that.

The internetz - answers questions like this

Vancouver isn't far form the states - where most of the PGA Tour players come from

Canada has some very good players and some very good courses, but their national championship has filled one of the worst spaces on the PGA Tour schedule since the FedEx Cup playoffs usurped its traditional September date. Travel is always going to be a point of concern for the Canadian Open as long as it is scheduled immediately after the Open Championship; holding this year's event in Vancouver (1000 miles farther from London than Toronto nonstop, 2000 miles farther with a stopover in Toronto) presented an enormous logistical challenge for a tournament that has a hard time attracting elite players in the first place. It's a testament to the tournament's pedigree and RBC's involvement that the field is as good as it is this week.

My pick, Matt Kuchar, is in real danger of missing the cut. Finished at +5 and is currently T84th. I sure can pick them (had Luke Donald last week)

Would love to see Rickie win this one.  John Daly was also at 2 under for the tournament through 17, and triple bogeyed the 18th...typical.
