Looking at getting a new driver for this season, or by next season for sure.. Not sure which shaft would be best for my swing speed.

I prefer lower degree clubs, 8.5s or so. I usually hit it really high, and is normally pretty windy where i play. Thx in advance!

Titleist 983K 8.5* Prolite V2 stiff
Callaway Hawk VFT 3 Stiff
Taylor Made 16 & 21* Raylors

You probably need a stiff to x-stiff shaft with a higher kick point (lower trajectory) and lower torque (for faster swing speeds)...but all this can be done properly if you get fitted properly.

Da Bag:

TM Super Quad R7 (w/Stulz stiff shaft)
TM CGB R7 4-PW (steel)

Try the King Cobra X-Speed PRO D driver. They just came out so it might be hard to find.

I just bought this driver yesterday and it is amazing.

I have a swing speed 100-110 and it fits me perfect. I got fitted in a launch monitor and the person fitting me said I had almost the same stats as Bubba Watson (around 1800 rpms of backspin) difference being his swing speed is around 130 mph.

Anyways, the driver is LONG and it is currently being used by J.B. Holmes and Camillo Villegas on the PGA tour (2nd and 4th longest hitters on tour.)

I wasn't a big Cobra fan before this, so don't think I'm biast towards them. It's just one of those drivers that will definatley be overlooked by the public because everyone is flocking towards the r7 SuperQuad/any other club that has r7 written on the side (that was me a year ago).

Like I said, if you get fit in a launch monitor and tell the fitter your requirments (low ball flight for you) there is nothing close to the Cobra. I gained 10 yards, which is impressive because I am already getting them out there pretty far.

Don't take this the wrong way but I would think anyone who has a 4 index should/would already know what shaft flex works for them the best. I am thinking you're probably not going to shave many strokes with a different sahft/driver combo...at least I don't think you would.

But if you are just a natural golfer and you can play with anything, I would suggest go spending the $75 and go to a launch monitor and see what would suite your swing the best.

I agree with this 100%. Say you spend $100 with a good clubfitter getting fitted on a launch monitor, then you spend $200 on a shaft and installation. That's $300 and you know you have the right combination. It has to be better than spending $200 and making a mistake.

Get on a launch monitor and do it right the first time.

knowing nothing other than you have a really fast swing speed, and you are a strong golfer, id go with the diamana blueboard. deff. get in in the heaviest weight ( i think 83g) and in a x-stiff flex. i think that shaft would be tremendous for what you need, a strong/heavy, high kickpoint, low tourque tour quality shaft. but it also sounds like a launch monitor would do the best to determine side/back spin and launch angle.

Based on the swing speed, X-Stiff and low torque is no brainer. As for the exact shaft, that depends alot on what you want to spend, from a UST Proforce, about $28 to an Aldila VS Proto, about $180. If you had a price range, that would limit the choices that could be recommended.

Are you getting a driver off the shelf with their stock shaft...a driver off the shelf with an aftermarket shaft to replace the stock stuff...or a custom driver? If it's the latter two choices, I'd go with an Accuflex JLG Ultraboom in either S or X. An S will actually work fine for 115 mph. (remember, all S shafts are NOT created equal just because an "S" is painted on) A super component head that a lot of the guys use on the LDA is the Bang Storm. That baby is HOT and is a monster combination with the Accuflex shaft. Get an 8.5 or 7.5 degree loft. The Accuflex Creation shaft is also super but it costs a lot. I personally play with the Bang Storm and an Accuflex Pro LD shaft at 46 3/8" in length and X-Flex. The JLG is heavier and stiffer than the Pro LD. FYI, I also own a new Mizuno, Cobra, 454 Callaway, Nike Sasquatch, numerous SMT drivers, and have tried ALL the new drivers that are currently out there. Every stock shaft has been yanked out and replaced with high end stuff.
