Thank you all for any help you have gave me in what to do with my irons.

I bought them about a month ago with stock stiff shafts, which were extremely hard for me to hit, I got maybe 2 out of 6 shots with those stock ping shafts. Those are long gone now.

My set up. +1/4" over original length on all irons 3-pw, midsize grips (Ping I D8) 8-pw, standard grips 3-7 (Ping I D8 w/ 3 wraps of tape *to make them feel similar to the midsize*

TT Lite XL Shafts...(Reg Flex)

Grand total. $214 well spent dollars, not including original purchase of $150 for the irons themselves. So..............all together I have $364 invested in this set. Have took them to the range and they hit way better than the original shafts for me anyway.

here are a couple of pics.

You could get them fitted.  I wouldn't waste the money though.

What is with that comment?

He basically can do what he wants with his clubs. Yes XMscott I would think you could have them fitted to your liking.

Are you telling me I wasted my money? Well, I didn't. I like the heads and didn't feel like spending more money on another set irons. All I needed was a switch to reg shafts plus I needed new grips anyway.

It is not a waste of money to get the irons you already have fitted. The way I have mine now are perfect for me and I want need a new set for a very very long time.

I don't buy into the whole fitting mantra outside of picking a shaft. Did you buy the shaft that was actually best for you or did you buy the cheapest regular flex you could find? Did you get fit for lie angle too?  I didn't see this mentioned.  IMO you did waste money.  You could have sold those Ping Eyes with the stiff shaft for the $150 you bought them for.  Then bought another set of Eyes with regular flex shafts for about the same price.  Some plugs and new grips wouldn't have cost you $214.  So you did waste money, IMO.  That being said, it is your money and you are entitled to do with it what you like. Enjoy the clubs.

Awards, Achievements, and Accolades

i just posted about a standard set I bought which weren't right for me.  They are changing the lie angle, shaft length and grips.  I hit a ping that was almost perferct as far as fitting for me and I was hitting them great.  Also,  you paid a few hundred for a set that's now fitted for you= not a waste of money at all.  I can't wait to get mine back this week.

Thanks Kyle. Im going to make an appointment with that guy.

I paid 350 for the set a few days after the G10's came out. I dont feel like buying a new set anytime soon. If different shafts or lie angles give me even the slightest edge it will be worth it. Thanks for the response.

And if i did get a new set, it would be fitted at the get go.

He asked for my opinion on the matter and I gave it to him. This is a discussion forum.  Odd that you care how much I post. I can't help it that I have free time at my work because I am super effecient! Since you are so worried about my post count, I have replied to all 3 of you in one tidy post. If you would also like to know what I had for lunch, feel free to ask.

If you did a little math, you would see that I average 2.02 posts per day.  Is that a lot?

As I said with the OP, it is your money to spend how you want. Good luck. Didn't you get fit for the shaft when you purchased them? Lie angles won't amount to any edge at this point in your game unless you need crazy bend. If the fitter recommends different shafts/lie angles you should contact Ping for a quote.  They will bend your irons and fill in the correct color code for $18+shipping.

What is on a cuban sandwhich down there?  We have a place up here that has a cuban burger that is delicious.  It is a hamburger topped with pulled pork and coleslaw.

Sounds good.  In most of Miami, it's made with ham, roasted pork, swiss cheese and pickles on cuban bread with mustard.  It is usually heated in a toaster oven for a bit and then pressed to about an inch to inch and a half thick.  Delicious. Supposedly some serve it with salami but I've never had it.

It was $7 with some sweet potato fries.  Did I over pay?  Maybe next time I will pay them in post count so I can look better to inthecup...

Along with the burger they have some homemade sweet pickles.
