What do you use to mark your ball with?

I was watching the golf in Atlanta today and noticed that at least some of the players were using something that was a coin or looked like a coin when marking their ball on the course.

I have also seen the manufacturers hats with a magnetic ball marker.

What do you use to mark your ball on the green?

Unless I forget, I always use a ball mark, and I have a few of the magnetic clips that go on your hat.

Normally, I use an "OU" ball mark.

Recently, I use a "Tilden Park" ball mark.  I had my best ever round with the "Tilden" marker, so I'll use it for a few more rounds...  I've got a few others I've used too ("Jimmie Austin" and "Lake Chabot"), and I've used a Susan B Anthony dollar as well.

I keep several of the 'gold' dollar coins in my pocket when I play, and use them as ball markers on the green.

I use a ball marker to mark my ball. It has my home courses' logo on it.

I use these, need to promote as much as possible

I use a large coin when I'm by myself (or not near anyone's line) and a dime when I need something smaller and flatter. I have a few nice ball markers (golf courses, TST, Alberta Golf Association) but I'm always afraid to lose them.

I have a Callaway divot tool that has a magnetic ball marker.  Just carry it in my pocket and use as needed.  If I forget to grab the tool, I will use a button off my glove.

a 1985 nickel that has the letters "SI  RI  HI" painted in white on the monument side around the face (see it, roll it, hole it) and also with the initials "AG" on the face side for my grandfathers initials, because he was the one who taught me golf and gave me lessons growing up... it's 1985 because it's the year i was born, it's a nickel b/c my moms lucky number is 5.

At the moment I use the magnetic marker in my TaylorMade divot tool but will be replacing it with an AimPoint poker chip as soon as.

A University of Kansas marker, of course!

Usually a dime.

But I've used everything from a tic-tac, to a rock.

Even a Gameboy game cartridge.

I normally wear the hats with the magnetic strip on the top of the lid. Also have a pair of Callaway shoes that have a magnetic strip on the outside of the shoe but haven't used them much as the shoes aren't as nice to my feet as my other pair. Anything I can do to get more stuff out of my pockets is good in my book. I'm very thankful that every public course I have played allows cargo shorts.

I use a Nike ball marker that come with the divot tool or an SC ball marker that came with a USC divot tool. Basically whatever I grab out of the bag first.

I use either the PGA Tour marker that came with my divot tool or a coin that I got in change in France on a business trip about 12 years ago.

Keep that coin - it'll probably be worth ~  $100 this time next year.

I also don't like having a lot of stuff in my pockets and can't stand fumbling around trying to find a marker. I use the magnetic hat clips with an NC State logo or one from Tobacco Road Golf Course with their signature buck logo on it.

I have heard of people using poker chips for markers but to me they seem too big to use. Dang sure can't putt over one!
