Rangefinder left in trunk?

I'm one of those guys that uses his trunk primarily for golf storage year round.  Clubs, shoes, rain gear, dirty socks...

Just bought a Bushnell Tour V2.  I know myself and I will want to just leave it in my bag in the trunk.  Any opinions or personal experience?  The instructions that came with it didn't warn about temps from what I could see.

Never had a problem and I live in South Florida...home of hot.

It is in the back of my SUV (attached to my bag) most days as I have sporadic impulses and never want to be left without my clubs. I have never seriously thought about taking the rangefinder out because of heat.
