So I'm thinking of buying one of these putter for myself for Christmas. Rock Bottom Golf has LH versions (I'm a lefty) on ebay for $50 with shipping. I just can't decide between lined or un-lined. My gut says to get the ones with lines but is there some magical alignment at work if I just have the 2 balls only? I guess I don't entirely understand the 2 ball alignment system.  I went to the local sporting goods store today to see what they had to look at and of course the only LH odyssey they had was a blade, of course most of theirs were $150+.

i used to have an Odyssey 2-ball without lines--and found it harder to line up putts, than even with a simple blade with one small line on top.  I tried to draw a line through the two white circles but kind of messed it up, and since then have retired the putter.

So it's completely personal preference, but for me i like a line on the top of the putter.

I have the lines. Love the lines. Wouldn't have it any other way.

I have the two ball. I tend to take the putter back a little inside the line. Putter never worked for me so I switched to a SC Newport 2.

Just ordered the 35" Lined putter. I'll have to have my wife put it in her closet before I get to look at it to keep the suspense going till Christmas. Glad I went to the store today though because prior to going I thought 34" was the standard length but after trying  a few putters I realized 35" was the right length for me (I'm 6'0"). Wish I was right handed though, it would make trying out clubs so much easier.

Congrats on the new putter. Plus 1 for Rock bottom, also being a lefty at 6'0 (we must be twins) I had to grab one of their Yes Callie putters for $38 a couple of weeks ago, great deals can be had out there for sure.

    • Day 35, June 8. Before leaving for work this morning (yes, I'm posting this quite late relative to the practice), I spent 15 minutes practicing at home, into a net.  This time, it was primarily 9-iron (full swings), with some UW (full and half) and a few 6-iron.
    • Day 73: just some mirror work today. Working on feels for being open and getting the front shoulder down.
    • I'm liking this. Finally getting down hands in front of my trail leg pocket consistently at A6 with much better clubhead position (relatively not as tipped out). I can really pressure the shaft through impact with good face control  from this position and stay in balance. Won my first one v one march 5&4 against a 4 hcp who routinely drives it 35-40 yards past me in the men's club match play . Frustrated him with some solid iron play and air tight putting.
    • Day 279 6-8  Worked on low point control skills work tonight. will be doing this for a few weeks. Tonight was just trying figure out how to get low point forward.  No ball.
    • Day 8 (Jun 8 26) - Stayed the drill but added two additional irons (7i, 8i and 9i) - using Divot Board and hard foam balls - focused on tempo and purposed pause at the top….noticing how open the club is marking the board when I try to kill it and how much more square (and better distance) when I focus on these keys.
