Dave bought the building in February or March. If you noticed my light posting for about six weeks up to about two weeks ago, it was because I was spending most of my days helping Dave and the contractors get the building ready for opening. Dave and I put in our fair share of 8-14 hour days, but we're incredibly pleased with the result.

The building is an old office building. There's a field stone wall and a brick wall separating the halves of the building. We ripped out all of the offices on the first floor, ripped out a chunk of the first floor ceiling, and the result is a 10,000 square foot indoor golf academy with a downstairs "man cave" student lounge, 2,000 square foot putting green built for AimPoint that stimps at 10 and reacts perfectly to chipped balls, a simulator, a private teaching bay, a fitness room with an on-staff personal trainer, and more. We've got the Edel fitting system, TrackMan, SAM PuttLab, our high speed cameras, and more. It'll be open year-round and, in a word, it's AWESOME .

Very nice!!.  We have something similar here in pinehurst but, with the weather not getting so cold it doesn't get much use since our winters are usually pretty short.  It has 2 fullswing golf simulators and its a great way to keep the game in shape when its cold.  I'm sure up where you guys are this will get lots and lots of use especially with a good teaching staff.

That is sweet. Looks like a fun place to watch golf on teevee too. How are you instructors going to split your time between Whispering Woods and Erie?

Kill slow play. Allow walking. Reduce ineffective golf instruction. Use environmentally friendly course maintenance.

Looks like a great place.  Aside from the instructional areas, I'm assuming you will have memberships for guys who just want to hang out and hit balls on the simulator?

Good luck with the facility.  I think it will be a big hit in the wintry North.
