Hit the TM super fast 2.0 and the R11 drivers today's.Why can I swing the R11 faster than the Superfast???? Like 10 MPH..swing speed from around mid 80 to mid 90. I did start with the superfast and hit 15 balls with each.So being warmed up wasn't the case. At least I don't think it was.Maybe I should go back and start with the R11??????

With 15 shots each, I would suggest that warm-up lag of the early Superfast shots would get cancelled out by fatigue on the later R11 shots.

Try it again with R11 first, and see if R11 is still faster.

If R11 wins again, it could be that the loft and shaft just fit your swing better. That's why we test out similar drivers, to see which one works best.

Focus, connect and follow through!

Awards, Achievements, and Accolades

One would expect higher swing speed with the Superfast because it is lighter, and has a slightly longer shaft.

Maybe they'd rather sell you a $400 driver than a $300 one ;)

In all seriousness, i would be curious if the shafts were comparable.  If you're really in the 80-90 mph range, too stiff a shaft isn't going to help your clubhead speed (i'd imagine they thought a regular or even lighter flex would be best for you).

your swing speed is your swing speed.  No such thing as too low.  You're not going to hit 300 yard bombs right now...the majority of golfers can't and won't ever.  As your technique improves, it can certainly increase, but eventually you'll run into limitations based on your body's build/strength/flexibility.  However, that doesn't mean you can't be a good player, especially if playing from the proper set of tees.

We've probably all played with some seniors who shoot their age--those guys usually keep the ball in the short grass even if their drives only go 180 yds, have very consistent short games, and often putt lights-out, especially on their home course.

I was hitting the ball around 230 yards with the ball landing 6 yards right or left to center of the fairway....I was happy with the results just didn't understand why the results were that way..Of course I would like to hit it 300 yards...But I'll take the fairway over the extra yardage.

While I don't have the answer to your question I did want to share my thoughts on the 2 drivers and my experience.  I have roughly an 82 to 85 mph swing (depending on the day and how warmed up I am).  I was looking to purchase either the r11 or the 2.0. I have a very slow tempo and prefer a Senior flex so that is what I tested, 12* (r11 adjusted to 13*) and a 2.0 13*

I used both the simulator at Dicks and at Golf Galaxy and on both I saw a significant increase in yardage and ball speed with the 2.0.

120ish mph ball speed with the r11 and 197yd average and 210 max

130ish mph ball speed with the 2.0 and 210 yd average and 231 max

Needless to say I got the 2.0 in my bag and not looking back.  I normally cut my drivers down as I am only 5' 4" but instead just gripping down and hitting the fairway pretty well thus far.

Even was able to smack one out there 235 which is crazy long for me and that was on a wet course.  Cant wait until Aug next year.

I did noticed that this driver (even being a 13* HT) has a very mid piercing shot pattern.  Normally all the high loft drivers I play have a very high shot and I feel I lose alot of distance and roll.

Thanks for the replies. I haven't been back to hit the super fast first...I'm kinda leaning towards it because I don't want to adjust the driver to correct my swing.Hopefully my lessons will take care of that.
