10,000 hours goes by way faster in a 3 minute montage. I'd go that route instead.

I think Erik should give you one of those awesome Sand Trap Tour Staff bags that he gives some of the supporting members as a sign of support.  I love mine and the 3 point Izzo harness is really comfy for my caddy.  I think it would be boss with all the hybrids that are needed for the Champions Tour.  Just think of all the headcovers and endorsement opportunities.  The sky's the limit!

I can see it now ...

Shorty go low, low, low, low, low, low, low.

Well I certainly am now a3_biggrin.gif

I wish I had a montage for the last minute Thanksgiving shopping I'm going to do later.

"I said, Shorty, there will never be another player as mentally tough as you are, and there hasn't, and there won't"

I just read in Golf Digest that Shorty still hasn't called Greg Norman for advice. The Shark is waiting . . .

Instead of putting in all the time and work, why don't you just find a tournament that has some open qualifying? That way you can just get in a tournament via a qualifier, win the tournament, then you will get your tour status. That would be much easier than doing a q-school.

Or just go to your local waffle house and start acting like the multiple major winner that you are to become.  That will show everyone and jump start the soon to be media frenzy that I have been referring to as "Shorty Mania".

As far as te 10,000 hours goes, I've decided that quality time THINKING about golf has to be part of that. It's like musicians thinking about and memorising scores when they're travelling.

It's getting easier all the time. Over the last three years I reckon I've spent 4 hours a day thinking about golf.

Half way there already!

If you can dream it, you can be it, and I'm dreaming BIG!!

Testing has already begun on the prototype "action figures".

It's a work in progress.

I think you can do it man.

Put over 50% of your time in the short game. Pros practice their short games for 8 hours everyday. You need to be able to get up and down 85% of the time.

Pros also make 95% of 10 foot putts, so make sure to practice your putting a lot.

I hate to say it, but if you can´t carry your 6 iron 200 yards you have 0 chance of making it.

I also suggest bathing in ice water everyday to make you mentally strong. I got this tip from David Toms after he shot the course record at my club (a 58 using only a shovel and baseball bat as clubs)

Considering that your swing speed is 126mph and you hit your driver 330 yards and carry your 3 hybrid 250 yards, I'm 100% sure you have the distance to go pro.  Stop talking about it and do it already!

I like it  - but I think I should be wearing "old school" golf clothing. Thanks. Could you let me see the next version by Friday?

The grills are cool - and I'm seriously thinking about getting some. It's bound to psche out some of the competition on the practice fairway!

I have only been here a few minutes and this thread jumped out of me.

Not sure yet, but I shall follow with interest

I'm shooting for the super seniors tour. Only 2.5 years before I'm 60, so that should give me plenty of time to get my game ready. Would like to win enough money so I could afford one of those 12,000 acre ranches like Greg Norman owns in Colorado.

I'll keep you guys up to date on my progress.e4_tumbleweed.gif

As a show of confidence, you should start stockpiling weapons so that when you live next to Greg, you can go shooting with him. I am calling Feherty right now so that he can have first dibs on documenting your meteoric rise. Man, this thread is really giving me hope!  Thanks guys.
