I'm looking to replace my Vokey wedges. And I like the idea of being fit for my next set. I'm currently carrying a 52/56/60. And most likely will move to a 50/54/58 given my MP-59 PW is 46*. Can anyone here comment on the Edel wedge fitting process? Not to be confused with the putter fitting. Any info on pricing would be good to.

The fitting process is very extensive and you hit a variety of shots from different lies to determine what bounce options work for you.  Edel loves A LOT of bounce, 22* on some wedges.  Really great clubs and really expensive though $350 for a wedge.  They are hand ground and use steel similar to Miura heads.  The cast options come out in Feb and will be $195

Thanks for the datapoint. Are the Edel putter fitters able to do the wedge fitting too? I don't see much on their site about where to find a fitter for their wedges. I live in SoCal / Orange County. If anyone knows a local Edel wedge rep in the area, please PM me.

I'd contact Jason Goldsmith, he's the fitter in SoCal  jason@truegolfcompany.com

I have noticed Edel wedges with blue lettering for specs and red lettering for specs. How are these wedges sold in the PGATSS different from the ones custom fitted? Are they the same quality just without the custom specs? Can they be customized?

The specs aren't different. The different heads with different grinds are conforming, and everyone gets one of them, if that's what you mean. If you bend a conforming club, it's still conforming.

But if that's not your question, please clarify.

What I was asking is the type of edel wedges sold in stores without any customization are those the same wedge heads that you would have to choose from when you set up a fitting?

I don't think you can actually purchase edel wedges off the shelf.  You can order them online I believe, but you still have to ask for specific specs.  someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

That is what I assumed. When I was at the PGATSS yesterday they had them.

I imagine they're the same heads, but… I would buy them after getting a fitting over getting them off the shelf.
