Stand or Cart bag on your push cart

If you could choose either, would you use a stand or cart style bag on a push cart? I'm leaning towards trying my cart bag first, as I'm assuming the lack of legs will mean it sits in the push cart (Clicgear 3.0 or Sun Mountain SV1) easier.

Depends. I have an Ogio Assassin cart bag and the base doesn't fit as nicely on my Sun Mountain Microcart as a proper Sun Mountain bag would even though it's still a cart bag. Fits better than my old Ogio Vaporlite Sand Bag though.

Suggest trying them together to see.

Never carry a sandbag ... it's a dead give away.

I have an ogio standbag that I got for father's day and it sucks on my pushcart.

Cartbags fit on carts and have more/bigger pockets.

I'm going to treat myself to a cartbag this winter ...

I had an issue when I used a push cart with the legs opening up.  If I was going to use my push cart I'd get a lightwieght cart bag.  It is nice having the 14 way divider and extra pockets.

Of course now we're all wondering if that was a type or not on my behalf...

If you are pulling/pushing......a cart-bag makes most sense.

1.they tend to fit better

2. the pockets are all there for easy access

What Buckeye said.  The other thing that Cart bags offer is more space for "stuff."  I like to bring anything I might want on the course with me.  If my bag is on a cart, I don't care about it's size or weight.  I simply want plenty of room for my "stuff."  I chuckle when cart manufacturer's promote how they've shaved a few more ounces off their cart bags.  Who really gives a $%&t.;

I have been having this same question internally with myself everytime I go out lately.  I use a Callaway stand bag on a Sun Mountain push cart and the combination of the legs and the cart are just a terrible duo.  The bag is CONSTANTLY sliding to one side or another.  Often it will sag down and then get the left wheel hung up and I'm always adjusting it.  I have been scouring reviews for a great cart bag to use with it.  I seem to be favoring an Ogio but I don't know which model to go with.  Any ideas?

I have an Ogio Assassin (previously Ogio Vaporlite) and although I love the bag I find that one of the feet to the bag site directly at the rear of the bag which causes it to also rotate one way or other over the course of a round. It's nothing major but it's a little irritating. I'll be investigating Sun Mountain bags for my next one to see if they've been designed to fit my Sun Mountain Microcart as you'd think.

I believe the Sun Mountain SCB Deluxe is specifically designed for Sun Mountain push/pull carts so you might want to check that out.  There's supposed to be a slot it locks into to keep it from rotating.  I picked it up on sale at the end of the season but only used it 1 round with a cart and there was no rotation at all.

If you don't intend on carrying, I'd go with a cart bag. More room for your stuff and better fit with a cart. As pointed out already, Sun Mountain has cart bags specifically built to fit their carts. I use a SM cart bag I bought 6 years ago - works great on my Cliqgear.

...it's a no-brainer.  Carry bags are a joke on both pull and riding carts.............they  just don't fit and the pockets aren't designed/positioned for that purpose.

I'm waiting on an Ogio Recoil to arrive.  Been waiting a long time as the siberian color wasnt available for a while.  From what I understand its a stand bag designed to be used on carts as well.  No difference to me, I very rarely use carts & prefer to walk.  Probably a little on the heavy side but the 14 way dividers will make up for that.  Sick of all my clubs not fitting in my bag.
