Has anyone ever pulled apart one of these putters?  I know it has a soft polymer inside the cavity around the German Stainless Steel insert.  Cant really afford to send it in, but I do have some very soft rubbery RTV sealant that I could put in there and try out (and send it in if it doesnt work out well enough for me).   I took the screws out but it appears that the sealant/polymer inside is firmly holding the insert in place.  I have not tried heating it.

Whats your goal here?  I guess I don't understand from the title/wording.  Is it that you want to just remove the insert?  What is wrong with the putter that you are trying to fix?

The putter does not feel as good as it used to, and I noticed some of the rubber polymer missing around the insert.  I have some soft rubber RTV compound I'd like to try in it, so I want to pull off the insert, but its pretty stubborn to get off, and I want to make sure I dont bend it.  I dont even know how thick the insert is.

I'm just toying around with it (I do have another SC putter to use in the mean time) and trying this out.  If I have to I will send it in to the Cameron studio to be done by them.

    • Day 35, June 8. Before leaving for work this morning (yes, I'm posting this quite late relative to the practice), I spent 15 minutes practicing at home, into a net.  This time, it was primarily 9-iron (full swings), with some UW (full and half) and a few 6-iron.
    • Day 73: just some mirror work today. Working on feels for being open and getting the front shoulder down.
    • I'm liking this. Finally getting down hands in front of my trail leg pocket consistently at A6 with much better clubhead position (relatively not as tipped out). I can really pressure the shaft through impact with good face control  from this position and stay in balance. Won my first one v one march 5&4 against a 4 hcp who routinely drives it 35-40 yards past me in the men's club match play . Frustrated him with some solid iron play and air tight putting.
    • Day 279 6-8  Worked on low point control skills work tonight. will be doing this for a few weeks. Tonight was just trying figure out how to get low point forward.  No ball.
