I took the Bridgestone ball challenge at the demo day.  For me, at least, the Bridgestone B-330S performed about the same as the Pro V1x.  The launch monitor I was on was cranked up about 5-6 mph on its clubhead speed, so that my calculated distance was about 10 yards too long, but overall it was a good experience.  In a way, I was glad it didn't show I needed to change balls, as I don't find too many B-330S balls in the woods, but I find a lot of Pro V1's.

Looks like a unique sole grind on the irons - 4 way?

Have always enjoyed the grind on the Bridgestone Wedges - seems to work from any lie and conditions and for most swings -- from my experience,  they fit pickers and natural slider-driver types. Don't know about aggressive drivers, though. I wasn't one - didn't try to be too aggressive until recently.

Nice clubs - heard the part about them using "real" shafts and not "designed for" shafts. And the part about no extra up charge on other shafts in a custom order --- interesting.

Here's the last Bridgestone video.  Got to hit all the irons, they are great.  Love the satin finish and they are very easy to hit, easy to launch.  Driver felt hot as well, definitely the most underrated company in terms of equipment.  The local retailers in San Diego don't carry Bridgestone so I was looking forward to spending some time with the irons and driver.  The J40 is one of the top forged irons out there imo,

Very happy I got to do the ball fitting (that's me in the video above in the white shirt).  I've known about Bridgestone's fitting process but was great to experience it in person.  Can't wait to take these balls out on the course and see for myself.  Thanks to all the Bridgestone people for taking the time to show Erik and I around and educate us on all the new products.

I almost did a ball fitting last year when I did my review of the B330 series. I got to the fitting, was next in line, and then it started down-pouring. It stopped after a while but the ground was too wet for them to keep going. ;-)

    • I think I like this hole.  It is a clear "Risk-Reward" choice.  Since most of the shots in your cone cleared the bunkers I would say they are a minor risk and not a big issue.  Playing the aggressive line may give you 70ish yards in from what looks to be playable rough while conservative play is 120ish from fairway.  I know you said 70 vs 120 is minor for you but how does the approach angle in impact your results?  I figure both strategies are playing for Birdie since holing out from either is mostly luck. Looking at your proximity hole I think it says @ 50 feet when hitting from the fairway from 100-150 and 40 feet if hitting 50-100 from the rough.  Neither of those is an easy birdie putt.   I like the approach angle from the rough between the bunkers & the adjacent tees over the angle from @ 120 in the fairway but I really do not like the idea of hitting onto the adjacent tee boxes and that may impact my confidence with making the shot.  Also, too far left may be a worse approach angle then from the fairway short of the bunkers. For me this may come down to how confident do I feel when I reach that tee box.  If I am stroking it well off the tee leading up to the hole I would try for over the bunkers and the better angle in but if I am struggling that day I would likely opt for the fairway to take more bad stuff out of play.
