Which would actually make that commercial a sham because aren't they marketing their new irons?   Or are they not specific?  I tried to find the commercial but no luck

Misleading advertising you say?

Shocking! g2_eek.gif

Next you're going to tell me my new pocketballz driver won't go 17 more yards.

Which makes the commercial a total sham because aren't they promoting the new Ping s56 irons?  or were they not specific?

It looks like the winds are picking up for tomorrow with some rain possible.  Who do you guy think this benefits or is gonna suffer the most?   If it rains, it is really gonna come down to who adapts on the greens.  Tiger definitely didn't adapt too well once it rained on thursday...left a lot of lags short

Not sure who weather would benefit, but it might rattle Bubba a bit ... not because he can't play in weather, but because he's been in the zone for the last couple of days.

Having said that, I think Bubba's going to continue to own this tournament.

Yeah, Bubba has been pretty impressive and got himself out of some tough spots with some ballsy plays.  He is playing pretty confident but I wonder if he will stay as aggressive as he's been.  I feel he has to stay aggressive to win...that's just his game.   Live by the three die by the three type of player.

I could also see Bubba and Rose coming back a few and Keegan running away with it...or maybe even someone like Kuchar, Zach firing low... or who knows maybe they all struggle a bit and someone like Tiger or Rory catch up with a big round.  well, I have pretty much covered all "What ifs."  ha ha.  I just hope it is a good finish for my viewing pleasure.  I'm selfish like that!  f3_laugh.gif

I notice posters upthread calling for a Rory, Tiger, Phil threeway have been kind of quiet.

The silence is deafening!   d2_doh.gif

I think the winner will come out of the top 3.  I don't know that Bubba will continue to just overpower the course with long and straight drives followed by wedges.  Eventually he will start spraying the driver and suffer some consequences.  That leaves Rose or Bradley for my money.

The wind is expected to be high teens approaching twenty so that's just a little stronger than when he shot the 62. With a three shot lead and his ability to work the ball both ways, Tourspoon says Bubba. a2_wink.gif

It all depends on his driver. When you hit it 350 yards, you can also miss it pretty bad if you don't hit it like intended. I'm not confident Bubba will stride to victory easily. There are lots of top players chasing him and he only got three wins on the PGA Tour.

It'll be interesting to see how the course plays with sunday pin positions. If the players can go low, Bubba might have to edge closer to 20 under par.

If Tiger throws another final-round 62 up there, there's your winner.

He may be 8 back but only has 7 players ahead of him.

Given this years pga where big leads disappeared quickly in the final round, I am making my prediction that Bubba will NOT win with his three shot lead going into the final round.

That's right, you heard it first here...

Bubba is basically turning this course into a pitch and putt. Hitting 2nd shot 8 irons onto par 5 greens? Who the hell does that?!??

I bet ping is going to sell a hell of a lot of G20s after this week, maybe even pink ones.

Destroying the course, bombing it for charity, Bubba is the man of the week.

Okay, so you're picking who won't win.

Who will?

I'm gonna pick a player who has already won this year but is basically being ignored this week. Mr. Pornstache - Johnson Wagner.

I predict Vijay will card a new course record 52.  Bubba will shoot par until bogeying the 18th forcing a playoff with the unbelievably hot Singh.  Singh will hole his tee shot on the first playoff hole for the win.  You wont want to miss that - I am going to set my dvr.

I think chipping in off the fringe for albatross is a more likely scenario. If he pulls that off we will be "Singhing" his praises. *chokes on granola bar not believing I actually responded to this comment. Oh the shame.*

Sergio is 6 over through 5 holes, with an eagle and 3 pars
