That's what a lot of friends are saying as well, they think he's trade bait. Turns out he cost us a 4th & 6th round pick in this years draft and $2.5M so that's pretty risky on their part given they have a number of holes to fill, especially at LB, S, WR and RB. They could try to bundle Tebow with Scott to fill a key need, but otherwise I'm not sure who's going to give up a 2nd round pick other than the Jags for him.

I think Tebow plays a little this season in wildcat packages mainly just keepers mean while the Jags are struggling with no fans. I'm guessing by the trade deadline or next offseason they trade Tebow to the Jags for a 2nd round pick no harm done. The catch is if Sanchez gets hurt and Tebow has a little success than there will be a problem. This is only my opinion but it's the only thing that makes sense to me about this trade.
