I see nothing but problems.  Tebow has made it clear he wants to be a starting QB not a RB or gimmick QB.  He'll be miserable backing up Sanchez and Sanchez will be miserabe every time he messes up and hears the "We want Tebow" chants.  Lose - Lose, I see nothing good coming from this other than as meenman said....headlines.

I see it as they will attempt to "flip" Tebow and trade him to the Jags or Dolphins. They spent a 4th round pick for the media hype and I think to honesty motivate Sanchez a little more. I think Tebow plays a little this season in wildcat packages mainly just keepers mean while the Jags are struggling with no fans. I'm guessing by the trade deadline or next offseason they trade Tebow to the Jags for a 2nd round pick no harm done. The catch is if Sanchez gets hurt and Tebow has a little success than there will be a problem. This is only my opinion but it's the only thing that makes sense to me about this trade.

That's what a lot of friends are saying as well, they think he's trade bait.  Turns out he cost us a 4th & 6th round pick in this years draft and $2.5M so that's pretty risky on their part given they have a number of holes to fill, especially at LB, S, WR and RB.  They could try to bundle Tebow with Scott to fill a key need, but otherwise I'm not sure who's going to give up a 2nd round pick other than the Jags for him.

It was a lot to give up if that's their actual intention but Scott is going to be very hard to move barring maybe getting a 7th round pick. I could see pairing him and Tebow if the Jags become desperate but they would basically be like here's a 2nd round pick for Tebow and we will take Scott off your hands.

Except for "Hey Mark here's a bunch money and you will be our starting QB" followed by what you said... I think they got things slightly backwards.

That is risky.  If Gabbert improves, then the Jags may not want a trade.  They could hope another team's QB will struggle, but that is a guess too.
