Who golfs with their wives?

Who likes to take their wives golfing?

Who uses it as time to relax and spend some guy time?

Or do you want your wife to come but she's not interested in golf?

For myself, my wife has been golfing a couple times. She enjoyes it and was going to do more golfing this year but now were having another kid so maybe by the end of the summer she will come out.

My biggest thing is that I can't help teach her golf. For one I dont have the patience to instruct her. And second I'm not qualified to teach her to play properly. I would most likely teach her bad habbits so I think some lessons and lots of time at the driving range will be required.

Some of my friends have tried to get their wives into golf, but they are more interested in driving the cart than actual golfing. I think this is fine too, especially if we all go out together. Wives hang out and chat. And the guys can golf more often! haha

My fiance doesn't want anything to do with golf except she occasionally will go to the driving range with me. Sometimes she will walk 9 holes with me and then go sit by the pool until I finish. I dated a woman briefly that played golf and it almost drove me insane but it didn't have anything to do with out break up. When she golfed she was SLOW I mean to the point where us as a twosome would play a close to 5 hour round. She would always say things like "I don't care how I play I just want to enjoy the nice day" and I'm thinking why did you pay a greens fee when you could have just went for a walk. Most women that I know that golf only a hand full actually care about what they shoot or how they play the rest just use it as a social event. It's funny to look at the scoreboard at the womens club championship usually 2 or 3 women in the high 70s low 80s follow by the rest anywhere from 95 to 130.

Yes, I golf with my wife.   She had been trying for 12 years to get me to take it up.    Now that I have, we play together every chance we get.

My wife and I started golf together (she then was my girlfriend). Since then we nearly played together most of the time, it was a chance spending time together and having fun (outside the bedroom ;)).

We often played matchplay against each other, and more than once I lost fair and square.

Our newborn is now 8 weeks old, and my wife gave up her club membership for this year, since she won't be able to golf much.

Since I plan to spend much time with my girls, I won't golf that much either, but more than her.

Hopefully we can get our daughter into golf, too, if she likes it. Would make a nice day on the course.

My wife actually got me interested in golf.     My boss pretty much forced me into playing an outing about a year and a half ago (last thing I wanted to do - tried to get out of it), and to my surprise, had a really good time.     It was my wife who said about a week later, lets go to the driving range, this golf thing might be fun.      We both really got into it after that, joined a club & I played 75 times last year.     I've taken to it a little more seriously than she has, but we enjoy the hell out of it - if it's just 9 holes after work, or a full round on weekends - it's great couples time.

My wife has no interest in golf or for that matter any athletic activity, that being said, she will watch the majors on TV and actually knows a lot of the golfers.  She doesn't not have an athletic bone in her body, so participating in a sport is not her thing.  She has discovered over the last 30 years of marriage that she knows quite a bit about a variety of sports and found that it helps her connect with the boys in her 3rd grade class every year.  She is kind of the "cool" teacher as she can talk sports with the boys.

The one and only time she was ever on a golf course was in early 2000, we had gone to Palm Springs for her 40th birthday.  She actually rode in the cart with me during one round of golf and enjoyed herself.  It was a perfect January morning, cool to begin and warm at the end.  I think she just enjoyed being outside during January in shorts and a sweatshirt.

Seriously though, my wife loves to get out and play as well.  We usually double up with another couple and hit a few different courses over the summer.  Her work schedule isn't as routine as mine, so most weekends I have to fly solo .  "Oh, I see you bought more golf equipment.....Where's mine?"  is a question i routinely get asked, ha ha.

My girlfriend plays golf with me maybe once or twice a year.  Its just not her thing but she knows how much I love golf and wants to share in my passion.  We actually play mini golf together much more than we do real golf.  The only problem is that we are both super competitive, so it gets pretty intense sometimes.

I golf with my 17 y.o. daughter who is a very good player. From the age of 8 when she started to about 13, she was just a gift from God. We played at least three to four times a week - quite competitive matchplay - and I/we loved it.

However, like most young ladies she then entered the puberty phase and I am still waiting until she re-emerges. I really believe another person/alien has been put into my daughter's body and I look forward to the day my precious is returned.

I was talking to an expert on this subject recently and he told me that this happens to all girls, and boys for that matter. He claims however that girls enter this phase a little earlier and come out of it at about the age of 75. You know what? He's bloomin' right.

My wife is still in puberty.

I golf with my gf.  She has a very good swing but no power.  Alot of the times she plays off my tee ball. But she absolutly loves to  play and its fun for both of us.

I do the same with my gf as well.  We play mini golf alot in the summer and its pretty competitive between us.  Mini golf is badass.

I am trying to get my girlfriend to play, as it is a nice way to spend some time out together, doing something I love (for a change), but so far I have not had a lot of luck. My girlfriend does not like to not be good at things, so she pretty much gave up on golf the very first time we went out. She was more interested in holding my hand than golfing. I told her "there's no hand holding in golf."

I relented on this rule the second time we went out, in the hopes that there might be a third time we go. Still waiting. :P

I'm in the same boat, but I didn't have any golf memberships. We first started to play par 3 courses and slowly moved to full 18. We had a good time. Then we had 2 kids within a short period of time so I don't think she will be playing for a while. We do have 2 little boys and hopefully we can make it a family outing at the golf course in the future.

My wife played a few times when we were dating (way back when).  But for the last 19 years she thinks it is the stupidest thing on the face of the earth and a complete waste of time, money, and effort.  So, no, I don't play golf with her.  I don't even talk about it.
