I searched on the forums but could only find 1 post about Golfnow.com. I recently just signed up on Golfzing and found out they offer discounts for just one course in my area. (There are 7.) I was wondering if anyone knew of any other  free sites that offer discounts for being a member. On Golfzing, instead of $20 for a cart, they only charge $14 at random times. At 2:00 it will be $20 but at 2:15 it will be $14 then back to $20 at 2:30.

Anyway, just wondering if anyone uses these sites, and which ones? Thanks.

I'm all about discount tee times & use golfnow regularly.      In NJ, Activegolf.com is a good 2nd choice.     There are others, but I haven't found any that are as extensive as these two.      Curious if anyone else has any recommendations ...

golfzing is lame.  i'm not a fan of the site, its not very easy to use.  also, my courses in long beach offer residence card discounts that are cheaper than golfzing.

for socal, the ones i use are:

- golfnow

- click4teetimes

- and for when i hit the desert, standbygolf

How is standbygolf for the desert? I'm hoping to get back to the Palm Springs area for a week this summer and am always looking for a good deal on courses (even by the summer standards).

I've found GolfNow to generally have the better pricing and have a lot more courses available than click4teetimes, at least in my area.    For example, I just checked and GolfNow has times at a course I'm playing in Fallbrook on Saturday for $69 (discounted from $100) while click4teetimes is selling the exact same times for $79.

EZlinks.com

Site has incredible rates on the 'Tee Times Specials' sometimes. Used it lots of times for courses in the Columbus, Ohio area and have never had any problems.  Looks like they have lots of courses all over.  Used golfnow lots of times as well.  Both seem pretty good.

Another one here for GolfNow.

standbygolf is MUST for the desert, especially during the summer.   i spend a week out there every summer, and use this exclusively.   they have link that's hard to find on their site, that lists their rates vs. the courses.  you can save quite a bit.  here's the link to their rate sheet:  http://www.standbygolf.com/current-newsletter.aspx.

Excellent! I neglected to get out to Palm Springs the last two summers, and I will do everything I can to ensure that this awful turn of events doesn't stretch to three years.

If you can, Play Escena. it's a great course for the price.

    • Day 35, June 8. Before leaving for work this morning (yes, I'm posting this quite late relative to the practice), I spent 15 minutes practicing at home, into a net.  This time, it was primarily 9-iron (full swings), with some UW (full and half) and a few 6-iron.
    • Day 73: just some mirror work today. Working on feels for being open and getting the front shoulder down.
    • I'm liking this. Finally getting down hands in front of my trail leg pocket consistently at A6 with much better clubhead position (relatively not as tipped out). I can really pressure the shaft through impact with good face control  from this position and stay in balance. Won my first one v one march 5&4 against a 4 hcp who routinely drives it 35-40 yards past me in the men's club match play . Frustrated him with some solid iron play and air tight putting.
    • Day 279 6-8  Worked on low point control skills work tonight. will be doing this for a few weeks. Tonight was just trying figure out how to get low point forward.  No ball.
    • Day 8 (Jun 8 26) - Stayed the drill but added two additional irons (7i, 8i and 9i) - using Divot Board and hard foam balls - focused on tempo and purposed pause at the top….noticing how open the club is marking the board when I try to kill it and how much more square (and better distance) when I focus on these keys.
