My Never Compromise just broke yesterday...

Suggestions will be noted... but I need a new putter... I prefer a blade or half-mallet but all suggestions will be considered... I need a new putter under a $100... as I'm kinda strapped for cash right now...

Are you open to used putters, or does it have to be new?  At the stores near where I live, there are usually a healthy selection of pre-owned putters, some of them are in good or even great shape.  I found my dad a center shafted TM Rossa Ghost for $79.99, in very good shape!

I also picked up an Odyssey Black Series #7 (also in very good shape) for $79.99.

IF you're really only looking for new, Cleveland has a low priced series of putters out there.  They don't use the 303 stainless ala Scotty Cameron or the other milled shops, but they're of a good quality (17-4 stainless) and reasonably priced ($99.00 new, I think).

Finding "the one" is more of a personal issue, of course.  Good luck!

I got a new Odyssey White Hot XG #1 a month or two ago for $89 at Golf Galaxy. Couldn't be happier, it's a great putter.

Go to shop.

Try putters.

Find one that suits your eye, is the right weight for you, is the right length for you, is the correct toe hang for you and in budget.

Buy putter.

Profit.

Seriously; nobody can advise with any type of certainty what will be best for you. You could buy a Taylorzuno RocketMallet HammerBalls putter of Wonderment based on x-member's suggestion and it might be completely unsuitable for you so you've wasted your money and then are forced to either use it anyway and putt badly because it's unsuitable and you can't replace it or sell it, re-coup some money and then take another random suggestion at what might be best for you.

YES!!!! I have the answer. It's not an Anser, even though I use one. Rather it is an Oddysey Metal X for 149.99 at Dick's last time I checked, which was on Saturday. It has a nice roll, and a good touch. Plus it's reall cool. Or you could go the White Ice #1 route for 99.99. It's a little old, but quality never fades.c5_banana.gif

I would consider a Rife Aruba or Antigua. You can get them on Ebay new for around $100.

Another thought, the older Ping BeCu putters, anser, pal2, etc.. can be found for $75-125 on Ebay in near mint condition. Fantastic soft feel on these old Pings and they don't break the bank. Bought a few from Ebay seller Heinenkugels in recent months. All looked practically brand new, but were 15-20 year old putters. He specializes in these BeCu putters.

Then you could also get a stainless Ping that is brand new for $100.

Many great choices in that price range.

Either way, consider a Pingman or midsize Iomic grip as an upgrade. Love these grips myself.
