I don't have much to say except about the part where the guy says something about how he's tired of "selling people toys theys they really don't need" seems like the opposite of what TaylorMade actually does with new club releases every two weeks or so.

I actually enjoyed the episode.  I'm stationed in Korea, away from my family so i pass the time with TV and movies, lol.  I do get out and hit the driving range and virtual golf simulator when I can to work on mechanics.  Haven't found any playing partners yet, but am looking to hit the actual course up when I do.

I watched the show several months ago when it first aired.  I couldn't believe they were throwing away all of those golf cleats which were returned.  Many of those could be used by the first tee program - or given away to schools.

I was amazed that TaylorMade, or any company for that matter, would not put returned merchandise - even if it is slightly defective or worn - to better use.  Such a waste.

Probably got sued for used shoes or something.

The CEO of Taylormade was the feature.     I know the components like all golf clubs are mfg overseas, but didn't know all their irons were assembled in California.     8M clubs a year - wow.    He seemed like a good guy - actually made me want to buy TM clubs after seeing the show ...

It was a repeat but I missed it the first time.  It's on my DVR, I'll be checking it out over the weekend.

I've always avoided watching that show.. It's more of a advertisement then anything else..

I was sick when I saw them cutting up shoes and clothes to be sent to the dump.  With all the people in need, why not at least donate the clothes to good will?  RIp the tags off or stamp them with special ink that prevents people from returning or exchanging.  I was glad to see at the end they were going to do something with the shoes and clothes but it's sad it took a low level worker to educate a corporation on recycling and community service.

I wasn't a TM fan before seeing the show and still am not, but do like Adidas golf clothes and shoes.

sadly I once caddied for an exec from under armor, she told me all their faulty stuff just gets destroyed even she was quite annoyed about it wanted it given to kids or whatever

That is sad.  Someone should start a charity group which goes to major retailers/OEM's like this and ask for their defective goods.  And send them to folks who need shirts, shoes and other basic clothing.  My brother-in-law does some graphics design work for a T-shirt company that donates a t-shirt for every shirt they sell.

I'd like to think that these large OEM's would find a better way to use their scrapped material than to simply throw it away.

They throw it away? Thats horrible! Give it to some kids!

They cut everything with a box knife first then throw it away.  TM CEO said he was going to donate the clothes and shoes going forward but not sure if they are.

I generally don't watch this show, but watched this because it was golf related.

What surprised me most about the episode were his comments on work ethic.  IE...... "if you can't finish your work before 5pm, then the job is too big for you." This is very strange talk coming from a CEO.
