I've been Playing Golf for: Used to play back when I was 11 for SNJGA (Southern NV Junior Golf Association) and picked it back up in December.

My current handicap index or average score is: Don't have a HC Index but my HC based off the last 14 games is 30.5

My typical ball flight is: I'm not sure what this means.

The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: Slice w/ Driver

I changed a few things yesterday with my swing but I strained my intercostel muscles so I will not be able to update the video for a few weeks.

The only thing that I can see is that your takeaway is a little quick and 'handsy'.  Your impact position looks good with the wedge.  Hope the muscle problem heals up soon!

with your driver, you stand too far away from the ball at address...your first move on your swing is with your hands...way too much hand use in your take away.  You need to use your shoulders to turn and push the club back. Also, at address your hands are front too far (at your left leg). Should be centered....a few adjustments and I think you'll be fine.

You know, I have felt like I have been standing too far away and I have been experimenting. I still haven't found the right one but I did change my entire driver swing from my backswing going up to more sideways. I did calm down on the hands too. I felt like I was trying to make my driver swing like my iron swing which was the wrong thing to do.

One question though, if my ball is more towards my left foot and I center my club behind my ball, wouldn't that make my lowest club head position behind the ball? Why wouldn't I want my lowest club head position in front of the ball like my irons?

Thanks.

Hey all, been a minute since I've posted anything in here. I just wanted to get some feedback and what you guys think about my old swing(right) versus my new swing (left). The main difference is I'm not so steep on the downswing though I still kind of early extend and need to initiate the downswing with my hips a bit more. I feel like I'm more consistent now but still working to get my Handicap lower. I'm at 27.3 right now after the last update this past 1st.

With this swing, my typical ball flight is a draw and when I miss with higher lofted clubs, it's a pull. I don't miss to the right that often unless it's a lower lofted long 3W or something of the kind and after that miss, I tend to adjust my left hand on the club to close up the club face a bit which could be disastrous or could be extremely helpful.

I'd like to have higher ball flight with my half swings and I'm really not sure how to go about doing that. I've started to club up and use more 3/4 swings for certain shots into the green with hopes of raising my GIR average per round but unless it's a 9i+, it's low to mid ball flight.

Any and all advice is helpful, thanks.

Hey,

I was just wondering, I keep having this problem. I can't see to hit my driver in the center sweet spot. It either makes contact high on the face, below, or on the toe. It never his close to the hosel. I'm not sure what the problem is because I can hit my other clubs sweet spot most of the time with an occasional off the toe. I've recorded my swing and it doesn't look like I'm doing much wrong. I'm a little steep with the downswing but anyone have any tips, drills or ideas as to what the problem is?

I use the yellow Pride Pro tees and usually stick them in the ground a little past yellow so the top of the ball is inline with the top of my driver.

I posted up my most recent swing in my swing thread here: http://thesandtrap.com/t/57402/my-swing-robrey85#post_977156

Thanks.

Got a face-on? Because that doesn't look like an 18's swing.

From face-on we're going to see some odd hip-work in both the backswing and DS.

Here ya go dude. I know the face-on isn't the best but my camera man didn't realize he needed to be a little further back and there was no time to make another shot. Hopefully this works out! Also, I made sure that this matches second by second so there is no discrepancy.

I probably should have done a driver swing too since my problem is with my driver. d:|!

Turn the feet out at address, will make the backswing and downswing stuff easier to accomplish. Hips slide back a bit to the right on the backswing.

What did you mean by not an 18s swing?

Right on, I'll give it a try. I read about that in Ben Hogans book but never really liked it. It's been a while so I'll try it.

Just swinging the club in front of the mirror, I can feel the difference. Less tension in my lower body and mid section. I can't wait to hit a ball with this change, haha.
