How do you guys play WOLF? - Page 2

Ok, so after taking a look back at Big Break Atlantis, they did indeed conjur up a scoring system for 3 person wolf. Here is how it went I think:

Its obviously always 1 vs 2 no matter what choice the wolf makes

If the solo wins the hole - he earns 6 points
If the twosome wins the hole - they earn 3 points each
If the wolf ties with the twosome - the wolf earns 4 points and the twosome earns 1 point each

What do you think of this scoring system? Does it seem to make sense? Can it work?

I don't know if it's bad form to quote and reply to your own post, but since there's no way to edit posts...

The more I look at this scoring system, the less sense it makes. I can sort of understand giving a couple extra points to the lone wolf for a tie, considering he is at a disadvantage by playing solo, but why give him 4 and the others 1 each? Why not just give only the wolf 3 for a tie? That would be the exact same thing.

One of the producers mentioned the scoring being confusing on Big Break Atlantis. He said the 4-1-1 scoring for a tie confused the girls, and in hindsight, they should have just awarded all 3 of the girls 2 points each for a tie? But that makes just as little sense, as giving all 3 players 2 points, is the exact same as awarding no points. I'm not sure this scoring system makes any sense at all.

In a recent 3 man match play(I know I know).......I watched 2 of my bonehead friends argue over scoring it 3 to the winner, 1.5 if 2 tie and 1 if it's a wash........OR.......score 1 to the winner, 1/2 if 2 tie, and 1/3 to a wash.

We went with the fractions........and I was keeping score.

Never again.

Like this only with a separate rotation for par 3 holes.  Also on 17 & 18 the player with the lowest point total is wolf (unless one of the holes it a par 3 then the par 3 rotation is used for that hole).  I have always played the wolf tees off last. The wolf  has to pick a partner immediately after the player tees off (if he is going to pick a partner) and also played were the wolf's opportunity to pick a partner is after the other three tee off but always before the wolf tees off.
