I have a bit of a gap between my Gap and my Sand wedge.

I hit my pitch about 120, my 51* about 115 and my 56* about 90.

If I am trying to hit 100yrds I have to use my 51*, chances are I will be short because I took too much off or too long cause I didn't take enough off.

I am thinking about weakening my 51* to a 52* and strengthening my 56* to a 55*. Think the 1* difference in each will be enough to fill the gaps better?

I have a bit of a gap between my Gap and my Sand wedge.

I'd ditch the 51* for a 53*. You only have a 5 yard gap between the PW and 51.

My wedges are 45°, 50° and 56°. For me, my GW (50°) is my 100 yard club... all I really have to do is play a slight cut with a slightly open face and it drops in at about 100 yards nice and soft. My advice is to work on your shotmaking and you won't need a special club for every distance and every situation.

Learning to create the shots you need with your wedges and short irons will shave strokes off your score.

I usually hit my sand wedge from 100-110 yards out, give or take based on pin placement. My choice of wedges is odd. From 110 to 130, I'll use the PW. From 90 to 110, I'll use the sand wedge. Pitch shots, from 30 to 90 yards, I'll use the pitching wedge again. Anything less than 30, and I use a lob wedge. When I try to chip, I skull it more often than not - has something to do with the shortened swing, I suppose - so I pitch rather than chip if at all possible.

(Lately, I've airmailed the green with my pitch shots, so I might have to either back off, use the SW, or re-figure my swing power vs. distance.)

From 100 yards though, I'll hit a sand wedge. I've seen myself get 130 out of it, but that's only when there's OB behind the green.

I plan to hit my sand wedge 90 yards. I don't like hitting wedges super-hard, playing them back, etc. If I want a 100-yard shot, that's my 3/4 pitching wedge.

Lol, my sister's boyfriend hits it 125...pretty crazy with the new technology today.

I hit my gap wedge about 105...which is a 52 degree...then I got my PW which can go anywhere from 105-120 depending on how hard i swing/the wind...then i have my lob wedge which is good from 70 and in...

depends on the factors :)

I have hit my 58 degree 100+ yards on occasion, but stock for me is around 85 years. I play my 52 degree stock at 105, and my 47 degree pitching wedge at 120-125.

when I carried a 56 degree sw (used to switch between a 56 and a 60 depending on the course, finally just bought a 58) I would hit it about 95 yards.

These are all no wind, sea level, mid 60s type weather.

When I visit my dad back in Minnesota and play there, I usually have to add a couple yards depending on the club due to the typical higher temps, slightly higher elevation, and higher humidity.

My sand wedge is 54 degrees. That's my 100 club. I never try to hit it 110. I'll 3/4 my Pitching wedge for that.
