I was looking at the mizuno website, in particular the shafts they offer in the custom department.

I notice that they dont seem to offer the True Temper Dynalite Gold XP in a X100 flex.

Does anyone know why this might be? They offer the S300 and R300 versions.

Thanks... I don't deny that the shaft exists... I've hit it in a fitting cart. I was wondering if anyone knew why Mizuno don't offer that in their custom fitting section when the offer the DynaLite Gold XP S300 and R300.

I know Mizuno do a lot of development and testing of shafts, is it feasible that they found that the X100 version of that shaft didn't perform well enough?

What type of hosel do Mizuno irons have, parallel or taper? Dynalite Gold XP makes a taper X100, but not a parallel.

Their website says they have a .355 tip, which I believe is the tapered version.

Tapered are what you need for Mizuno irons. I'm not macho enough for X100's but had the XP S300's. They felt great but launched awfully high -- lots of spin. Nothing like regular DG S300's. The lighter weight of the XP S300's was nice and I plan to stay with a lighter shaft for a while.
