I'm not for sure if this is a good deal or not, but the clubs look really nice. I am going to start playing golf next week and I would really like to have a nice set of clubs that will last me a while. I currently have a set of Golden Bear clubs and a Ram putter. Here are the specs on the set I currently own.

I have a friend who is wanting to purchase this set off of me and I could use the money towards the clubs I am asking about.

The clubs I'm wanting to know about is the Nike NDS line and the clubs that comes with it is3,4,5,6,7,8,9 and PW. The set also includes a Nike Ignite driver . He is also including a putter, which I assume is Nike brand, but I'm waiting on him to give me some info on it and also a carrying bag with some tees and a glove.

He is asking $375 for all of this - says it has only been used a handful of times
NIKE NDS 3-PW golf set
NIKE Ignite Driver - 460cc 9.5 degree loft
Taylor Made Monza Rossa
NIKE Carry bag with copper club head cleaner, Nike Glove, and misc tees.

Here are some pictures of the stuff, should I sell my set to my friend and buy this one? Would this be a fair price for all of this, or should I ask him to go lower on it? If I should ask to go lower, what would be a fair price for it?

Is my set good?

Ok I just called him and the putter he is including with it is a Taylor Made Monza Rossa. He also said his roomate used the driver and that it has a rattle noise on the inside and it works fine, but it doesn't sound good when you hit with it.

He said I could take the driver to a proshop and that they would be able to send it off for me and get a new one.

The $375 your friend is asking is a bit pricey for the used set. I remember just at the beginning of this year the NDS irons were at a close-out at all my local golf stores and big retailers and they were going for about $250 brand new. I got a TM Monza Rosa used putter with a new WINN grip for $60, a new Nike Ignite driver is about $119 and also can pick up a Nike golf stand bag off Craigslist for about $40. Plus the rattle in the driver head is not a good ting and will cost to fix it. Maybe if you got the entire set for $300 then it'd be a good price.

Offer him 300 cash, and tell him it will take at least 50 bucks to get the driver fixed. If he doesnt go for it let him sit and look around some more.

I ended up buying the set for $325 before you left me this message. I took the driver to a golf shop and they said there was nothing wrong with it and if I had any problems with it I can just bring it to them and they'll fix it. They said if there is something major that is wrong with it, I could send it to Nike and should be able to get a new driver.

The guy also threw in a 56 degree Taylor Made wedge. http://www.globalgolf.com/Product/Go...spx?gd=1∣=4 That one to be exact. My friend is also buying my old set for $100.

Ya I think you got a decent deal, I would try and send the driver back to Nike you never now you could get a new one back.

Yeah, the grips and everything else on each club is in like new condition. I won't have to replace anything in this set anytime soon.

I'm supposed to go golfing next Wednesday, I'm going to try the driver out and see how it works. If it seems messed up, I'll look into sending it back? What is the new version of this driver? Isn't it the sasquatch or sumo? Also, do you know if I have to go through someone like golf usa to send the driver back to Nike, or could I call them and do it myself?

Is my set good?

Sasquatch came out last year, SUMO2 is this year, if I didn't get that mixed up.

From what I've heard, you call them directly, and they send you a new one. Never had to do it myself, though, so I don't know for sure,

Well since you got the TM wedge along with the set for $325, that's an o.k. price then. Good luck on your game.

Keep us posted if you were able to get the club replaced by Nike, I'd like to hear how an OEM replaces second hand clubs not purchased directly through a dealer/outlet.

Thanks, I got the customer service number off of Nike's website. I will give them a call in the morning before I head out to class. I'll let you know what they tell me.

Its dark outside right now, but I wanted to hit a ball with it just to see if I could hear what the guy was talking about. It sounded normal and as far as I could tell I blasted the ball pretty far. I hit it into the woods and it took awhile before I heard the ball hit off a tree... So I might call Nike anyways and see what my options are tomorrow. Probably wait until after I try the club out on Wednesday before I try to send it back. Would it be smart to get the new club if they'll let me, or should I stick with this one? What should I tell them? That the driver used to have a rattle in it and when the ball is hit it doesn't make a loud ping like it should? Basically that is how the guy that sold me the clubs explained it to me...
