Which irons?

I'm an 18 handicap and only 15. I didn't play much in the latter half of last year due to a broken wrist. I've started playing again recently and my irons have hardly any forgiveness. They're a set of Spaldings I got from my dad. I'm lookin into new irons. I play a high slight fade naturally but don't have problems shaping it the other way when needs be. I'm looking at the TM Burner 2.0 irons and the Cobra S3 Max as well as the Nike Pro Cavitys and the Callaway RazR. Wind isn't much of a problem in inland Ireland so I enjoy launching the ball high. I'm wondering which of these sets or other iron sets would be best for me. My preference would be a cavity with a thinnish sole and topline. I'm 6foot and the clunky fat clubs are always hit fat with me.

They are all great clubs and all do pretty much the same thing. The burners and the S3 max might have stronger lofts, but that might be the only difference. The Nike Pro Cavity probably has the thinnest topline. I know someone who has these and he thinks they are great. They are progressive so they are a little thicker in the long irons and a little smaller in the short irons.

Thanks. I've hit all the clubs and I'm getting a solid hit from each of them every time I hit them. I was just wondering which ones would be better and some more experienced people would recommend!

I would echo bhp said.  The nike's are great clubs and the progressive system is a great way to mask forgiveness in the irons that you will need forgiveness in most.

If you are a high hitter naturally with the old spaldings definately get a shaft fitting (get one regardless) that way you will be able to get your optimum trajectory.

I can STRONGLY reccomend the new Wilson Staff Ci11's. The new line of clubs shows the company is serious about their clubs, and all of their offerings this year are top of the line clubs.

If your looking to go cheaper, you can find a set of 15's cheap, or even g10's. Very forgiving clubs. I hated the topline on my G10's, dunno what the 15's are like.
