This is oh so very off topic, but when I was in high school I had to attend a pahhhks depahhhtment meeting for a project. It went roughly like this:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RbK4cL3QSc0

(It's not letting me embed. So that's delightful.)

That's awesome ... for some reason, I really want to watch "The Departed" right now.

Anyone saying things differently dont understand weight shift.
The weight shifts during the swing so before impact the weight is on the trailing side.
past impact the weight has shifted to the left side.
Moving the hips laterally isnt enough.

Tour pro´s also hit it short due to them dont utilize weight shift effectively as they loose accuracy if they do so.

This one generated a whole string of "What??" replies...

It looks like bourbon was involved in that post.

I happen to be quite familiar with that beverage. Maybe I'll knock a few back tonight and see if it becomes any clearer.

Go back to that thread, he has another gem in there.

Oh boy, he starts off saying Erik doesn't know what he is teaching or talking about. Yikes.

And then a bunch of drivel about SnT makes you hit short and spray the ball, and all tour pros hit it short or some such nonesense...

I was talking with a friend about this a few days ago after he typed "looser" instead of loser.

My theory is that, phonetically, "looser" looks to the eye how the word "loser" sounds.  "Loser" has the sound of two "o"s back to back.  Dictionary.com agrees:

Quote:

los·er

  [loo-zer]

The "o" in loss and lost sound different from lose and loser.  You rarely see the former two misspelled, whereas the former often are.  Loss and lost, if misspelled, are either exchanged for one another or sometimes misspelled as "lossed."

Yup.  c2_beer.gif  That was the straw ... but I seem to see it on here all the time.

(By the way, I think you wrote former twice a couple of posts up where you meant to say latter one of those times. ;)  Or is it ladder?)

LOL ... I'm not the only one who noticed ... http://thesandtrap.com/t/65791/lose-and-loose-please-stop-spelling-lose-loose-please-please/0_30

We tend to try to fix those, but if my only reaction to the OP is "whaaaaa???" I might be slightly less likely to spend the time. Then the misspelling just sets the tone for what's coming up, so you get a bit of a warning. :-p
