Man, it's brutal! Add to that the fact they they both play slow and it makes for a rough round. Don't stand on the tee box bullshitting, don't stand on the green bullshiting and for God's sake, stop talking about each other's wrist hinge after most shots! One thing that I can't stand is slow play, even though I'm a high HC, nobody's ever waiting on me and when I see the group behind us waiting to hit on almost every shot, I feel very rushed & frustrated.

And it would ESPECIALLY annoying when, most likely, the people behind only see 'the high handicapper' as being the problem. Even IF you are the fastest in the group. They just see that maybe you have a couple of skimmers and clunkers, etc... and figure "Oh, that guy is slowing everybody down- can't he play when it's less crowded?" They don't see the "Pro from Dover" taking his 10 practice swings, 6 way green readings and wandering through the rough looking for balls as being the problem.

LOL that's always my concern as well. They see me blade an iron into the woods but don't see the other two guys comparing wrist hinges on the tee box!a3_biggrin.gif

So he will ask to test anything you got. He hits it bad he tells you its a crappy club and then if he hits it good he will keep asking to use it till one bad shot. He will usually hit a club from everyones bag in a round. I only play with him now in the summer when we walk, he cant ask if you try to hit away from where he is at.

Have you tried saying "no"

We usually end up playing with a married couple that he's friends with and while the wife awesome to play with, Carl & her husband are just one big pain in the ass. They will critique(sp) each other's swing after almost every shot and they are both horribly slow. Last weekend we played a round in 4 hrs 45 mins, with nobody in front of us! Plus they quote the movie "The Nutty Professor" (And only that movie), to each other all friggin day. On the the last hole, we had a group standing in the fairway waiting for us to putt out as these two guys spent 5 mins just bullshitting on the green! Just aggravating. Thanks for letting me rant.

It took me two reads to sort this out sadly... Maybe you should just play with the wife... That seems a little over the top for me lol

Yea, I told him no for this weekend. I've been friends with his wife for over 25 years and I agreed to play with him mainly because she asked me. If she really wants me to keep playing with him in the future, it will be on the courses I want to play and with my usual golf buddies.
