We have our annual flag tournament. Everyone gets an American flag with their name on the stick. You play your round and plant your flag on the shot your handicap runs out. Last year I made the 18 and planted my flag in the fairway on the 2nd hole. You start over if you play under your cap. It's a blast every year. We also have a club celebration with fireworks BBQ and games for the kiddos. It's a fun day.

I'll play but I like to get on the course between 6:30 and 7:00 which means I'll probably play another solo round since it's unlikely I'll find someone who wants to go out that early.

thats probley about the time ill be trying to get on the course too. normally ill play early in the morning with a cart then come back later around 6pm and walk the course since my greens fee is still good for that day.

Yeah I'm also gonna try to tee off around 7am. I usually play in the afternoons, and have no friends in the area that play golf really so I'll be paired up with some random people as per usual.

Well since all of my friends are working tomorrow, I'll be playing alone if I have to. Pretty early if I can help it. I want some time to work out, take a nap and still be able to go out.

My husband and I are playing on the 4th.  First tee time is 6:32am at the Auburn HIlls, MI Arthur Hills design Fieldstone (early early wake-up call tomorrow, as the course is 1 hour away from our house).  After that, 12.10pm tee time a little further south in a residential community golf course.  (The groupgolfer certificate I have expires like on the 15th of this month.)

For those of you playing tomorrow - play well and hit 'em long and straight!

Ditto!

To all out there..........I hope you have a Happy 4th of July......and be sure to thank someone for their service in our military.  We would not share the freedoms we have today if not for the unselfish efforts of those that came before us and served.

My Father served in the Army Air Corps at the end of WWII

My Grandfather served in the Army and was in the trenches of France in WWI
