Praying for you isn't pushing beliefs at all. Honestly, I forgot you last night, and in Mass this morning. Carry on in your black lifeless no light at the end of the tunnel life. It is naive to think your way is the only way. Maybe you are the one disillusioned, living a life of some man made religion that imposes rules on you. Catholicism is one of the most money driven religions. Buying your relatives out of purgatory. Purgatory that was made up just like the devil to control you and keep you in the church donating your money. I understand, some people can not think on their own so religion works for them. They are not bad people, just misled.

Scientology was founded by a science-fiction writer. As a philosophical worldview - it sucks.

All emotional troubles are caused by Thetans (bodyless aliens) who were stranded on Earth when there wasn't enough room on the spaceships that evacuated them to another place. These spirit being inhabit humans without them knowing it and consequently experience depression, anxiety, and psychosis.

You yourself are extremely mislead. Catholicsm had a couple corrupt rulers in the early middle ages. We learned about that this year. They were sunful and sold luxuries to people so they'd "get in to heaven." The same way you'd say not to think ALL muslims are evil becasue of a couple terrorists, it worz the same way. Maybe you're resentful because you secretly know that we're right, and you want to join but refuse to put your pride on the shelf. OR MAYBE you really think that there is no God. Domenic you have been brainwashed. You are comfortably numb and happy with it. I used to follow Christianity but just couldn't buy into all of it without ignoring ration. I happy you are happy with your religion and that is fine with me but God does not have a plan for you.

FWIW, I've noticed that the most hypocritical people are ardent christians.  Just from my personal experience.

 

Now as to OP's point, I don't care what a particular person believes in as long as they don't try to push it on me.  Most people already knew Tom (and John Travolta as well as other big name celebrities) believes in Scientology.  So what?  Let them believe what they want to believe.  It's not my problem.  I have too much problem of my own to worry about.
