My son (9) found a Srixon lady ball and was open minded enough to use it to get a bit more distance because it is softer. He liked it so much he asked me to buy him a dozen so I did.

So last week I found one in my golf bag and decided to give it a try... WOW!  It was like hitting butter!  and the the feel off the putter was also really nice.  I was hitting some very nice driver shots right down the middle but couldn't tell if it was the ball or just some good swings?  Iron shots felt super smooth, distance was the same as the NXT tour ball.

An added bonus is not having to worry about guys picking up my ball!  I was thinking if I played a pink one guys would run away from it!

So have you tried one?

I've used them in the past (the Precept Lady, which they eventually rebranded as the Laddie so guys didn't have to feel less macho or something) when it was cold. They're often a very good ball for the mid to high handicappers, and usually not too expensive, either.

My daughter wanted me to try one of her "lucky" pink balls, She bugged me for a few rounds, so I finally went ahead and tried one for a few holes. Not a bad ball. Did get a little more distance from them. Iron shots had an odd feeling to them, but I got used to it after a few shots. I have seen more than one player using the Callaway Solaire balls on the course.

Are the solair balls the ones that look kinda pearl like?

Bubba uses a pink driver... why not a pink ball!  LOL

They do have a bit a pearlized sheen to them. Not very noticeable unless you pick them up. there are some decent pics of them on Callaways site:

A guy I used to work with (who is a much better golfer than myself) played the Precept exclusively.  I gave them a shot and also tried a Nike PD women's ball I found one time.  Both reminded me a lot of the Nike PD Soft, which I used to play before switching to the NXT Tour.  Some of the women's balls are really solid and less expensive.  I am a much bigger fan of the NXT Tour though.

"Pure White or High Visibility Pink. Both utilize a luminous finish that will add a distinctive flair to any woman’s game."

Hell... I need a little flair in my game to!  LOL

I was actually just considering this recently as my game is in the toilet. I'll do anything right now to stop stinking up the course. I remember reading, perhaps here about Precept. I probably don't feel to guilty playing the balls, but I feel strange buying them. Maybe I'll have my daughter go into Golf Galaxy and buy them for me :) It would kind of feel the same as buying pantyhose or tampons.

I've never played with lady's balls but I've let the ladies play with mine

I have played with women's balls (that just does not sound right) in the winter. CNC is right - they're like butter. When hit well with my forged MB irons, it feels like hitting a marshmallow.

A few friends and I stash these away when we find them, and pass em off to whoever asks for a ball to reload off the tee, or after a dunk. We call em "bitch balls".

I've played a few, and the precept, and srixons I've hit seemed like decent balls.
