I've been offered to buy the demo Taylormade R11s TP club from the local course I play for 300$. It's the one with the 5 adjustments on the bottom. It has some scratches on the bottom, but the face is in perfect shape as is the top of the club. Since it's a demo, I think it's gotten a fair amount of use. I hit the thing absolutely brilliantly when I have tried it.

Is this a deal I should jump on? I don't even use my current driver because the shaft doesn't fit my swing speed and i'm inconsistent with it. I'm asking because I'm not too knowledeable on how much a used club like this would go for, I don't see many of them for sale used yet I guess since it's such a new model and I wanted some opinions.

Seems a bit steep if you ask me. Dick's offers deals throughout the year where you give them ANY club (the oldest crappiest one you have) and you get $100 off. So you can get a BRAND new one for $300 if you find the right discount...

$300 is a bit high... according to the PGA Value Guide (http://valueguide.pga.com) the resell value is about $250 (not to be confused with the trade in value which is between $125 and $165 depending on condition).

Oops... that is for the regular R11s, the TP version has a resale of $350 so it is a pretty good deal (trade in value is between $185 to $220).

Oh that thing is useful, I'm extremely unknowledgeable when it comes to equipment. He bought it for cost, any idea to figure out what that would be? He apparently was trying to get just the r11 and accidentally ordered the most expensive TP model so hes trying to sell it. I imagine i could talk him down a decent amount but hes a nice guy for offering and I don't want to rip him off.

Not sure if you saw my edit to my first post, but the TP resell is $350 so $300 isn't a bad price if you hit it well and it's in good condition.

$20 is too much if the club doesn't fit you or work for you.

I'm sure you know it, but it bears mentioning.
