Bought several clubs from Callawaypreowned, including drivers, fairway woods and irons, both Callaway brand and other brands.  Satisfied with all purchases so far, and excellent service and support over the phone.  It's the only place I will buy a club without seeing it first.  Several threads here on the subject as well.  Try calling them before you order, as they usually have some inventory that isn't listed.

Forgot to mention, they have a 1 year warranty on any clubs they sell, no matter what brand it is.

I bought a putter from there and a buddy of mine bought a used set of Callaway X20s a while back. I think it's a good site to buy used clubs. I'd trust it over ebay for sure.

Best Regards,
Ryan

I have bought from them a couple times. I am very pleased with their service. There are alot of times when you can get really good deals from them.

What I like best is that before you put the club in the cart, you can click on customize and choose different grips that they can put on for you. That way I don't have to regrip the club once I get it at home.

I've bought clubs from them a few times, mostly iMix heads and shafts when they ran great deals.  Overall they have quality products at good prices.  If you monitor their site they will run some really good specials where you can really save some money (picked up new Diablo Octane driver for my son for $60).  If you want Callaway products they are one of the best but their non-Callaway offering is limited and usually not priced very competively.

Virtually all of my wife's clubs came from Callaway Pre-Owned and several in my bag as well.    When I am looking for a club, that is the first place I check because their prices are hard to beat.     I've always stuck with the "like new" and "very good" options and have gotten some fantastic clubs that way.    Several of the "like new", were in reality, new clubs that were never sold, complete with the price stickers still on them!   As was already mentioned, there is a one year warranty on clubs from them as well.  If you are buying Callaway brand clubs through them, they will come with a certificate of authenticity and a note that the club is now registered with them in your name.

Usually late fall is when their off-brand inventory is at it's peak, and yes, it is really low right now.  My R9 Supertri and R11TP 3 wood were cheaper there than TM's official used site, and I'm not talking a couple of dollars either.  TM's used site also doesn't ship to the Great White North either

They also include the CoA with other brands as well.  Everything I have ever bought from them had it.

I am not a Cally fan-boy either, most of the stuff I bought from them was either Taylormade or Titleist,

Callaway pre-owned is legit. I've ordered several clubs & their conditions have always been better than I expected. I know it's tough to buy "sight-unseen" but I'll certainly do it through them.

Between myself and a couple golf buddies, we've purchased probably half a dozen clubs of all different condition levels, and they've all worked out.  The "fair" condition club is exactly what they say - cosmetically less than perfect, but but fine functionally.  Are there likely to be some minor degredations in length or overall performance?  Sure, but for anyone not a single digit handicapper, not enough to matter IMO.

Callaway sees the club before you buy it. The ratings are very accurate. If a club is so beat up it won't work right, CPO won't resell it.

All clubs from CPO come with new grips.

All clubs from CPO come with new grips.

So is it necessary to "customize" the grip at all?

Only if you want a different grip than what is put on by default.

I have also purchased extensively from Callaway Preowned.  Great service.  I've actually had to send back a driver that started to come apart, they cross-shipped a replacement overnight after one call.  That was 6 months after I purchased it.

Have purchased several clubs from them - like new is new - I typically stick to the two highest categories. No problems and they typically have sales. At the moment, they have a 50% off sale on many items - in its last days.

I bought a driver from them that was listed in about the worst condition they had,  and it appeared new when I received it minus the smallest nick on the top/toe of the face (really tiny)  the grip appears to have been used for 2-3 rounds.....  basically new.

How are they selling these drivers for so cheap? They're selling the Razr Hawk for $148. That's crazy.

They are the outlet for Callaway so they get the returned / left over stock.  It's last years model which Callaway already took the hit on the cost to build last year.  Their goal is to clear up inventory space and generate some revenue for this year.

I got back into golf last year, and I can't say enough good things about Callaway pre-owned. Looking to build my set on the cheap, I bought my irons, Taylormade R7's, for about $150 on a sale, and have also since upgraded from the site with a lob wedge, Odyssey putter and last week bought a Diablo Octane FW for under $50 with their latest sale.

All clubs have been in great shape, including the ones purchased in the lowest condition (I don't care too much about the cosmetic blemishes).

On grips:

This isn't always the case. My lob wedge is from about 2002 and still has the original grip on it, which is in need of replacing.

My advice is to wait for a sale before buying unless you really need something or see a great deal, because every other week they are running something.

I hope to play more of the courses in the future, but tomorrow is promised to no one, so hope is the key word. Have Fun, iSank

I couldn't find time to get to the range today.  I spent time on the indoor putting mat.  And I spent time in front of the mirror with my 7 iron. Then again later with the driver.  I also thoroughly cleaned all my clubs.
