So I've decided to get the Nike SQ Sumo. I hit both that and the TM r7 460 and I seemed to hit the nike a little better. I can get a new one for $300, and a used one for $150. I could pay $300 for a new one, but that would pretty much make me broke, or I could get the used one for $150 and still have left over money. Is buying a used driver a lot worse then buying a new one?

Thanks

Not at all, if you can find one that's not used much. Sometimes, someone gets a driver, uses it for one or two rounds, takes it back, and it goes on the used rack, good as new, but half the price this time around. I got my driver used--all I had to do was regrip it, and it's back in business.

I'm also deciding on getting the Sumo or the r7 460. Right now I'm leaning towards the r7 since the price is nearing $200 these days for a new one. I'd like to try the r7 more since the one I originally demo'd had a senior flex.

I bought my R5 used for $139 and used it for 8 months. Then I sold it back to the shop for $75 and used it toward my new driver which was a Titleist 905 for $199 minus 10% (local shop discount) and minus my buy back $75.

So, buying used is not a bad idea. But do make sure it's in good condition though. If not, some shop will allow you a full refund for a certain amount of days.
Good luck!
