What's the best golf ball for distance??

The best ball for a short hitter,with a low clubhead speed,and not a lot of power,ie a woman??,looking at the market for the most advantagous ball that adds distance despite,saves me a lot of googling/reading getting you guys imput

Try the Srixon Ladies Soft. That is what my wife uses. Way too soft for my swing (I tried them), though I admit its a great ball for her. Theres also the Ladies Noodle.

But really, I would try something like the Nike PD soft or something first. It would be easier if we knew your swing speed, and what your strengths and weaknesses are. What is your usual miss? Are you playing the correct shafts> Its possiblke that its not all the ball.

Actually its for my girlfriend,she has reg shafts,fast club speed for a woman but she is short in distance,more likely because she dont practise or play that much,i just thought giving her a more friendly user ball may give her more distance without need to practise that much,time is not a luxury you see

Most of the men at my course - except for those who hit the driver 260+ yds - use Callaway Legacy balls. At first they feel too soft with the driver but I've done the Pepsi test and they travel further for me and most of the men at my course. As for the ladies, give them any old tattie. :-P

Definitely the Srixon Soft Feel womens, is what I think its called.

My wife loves them. They come in a pink box, easy to identify, because its the only ball Srixon puts in a pink box. Made for high 70's to high 80's swing speed. 2 piece. Nice and soft. Feel great off the wedges. Too soft for me on the full swing, but chipping them is lovely.

Thanks for the information,for the other poster the ball is for a woman,not myself,i actually use any old tattie,long as its new and a two piece i'll use it,i find titleist last the longest,they take my hidings and mark the least

I use Titleist NXT tour or Pro V1 and I don't have a great swing speed or power hits.

I recommend Titleist, I always get more distance and accuracy with them, even the DT solo is pretty decent. Hit one the other day and it went at least 10 yards more than the practice balls the range provides(occasionally a Titleist gets mixed in).

I agree with the others who recommend Srixon Soft Feel. They're great for me (female, slow swing speed) and they're easy to identify because they're pink. I also bought a box of Noodle Plus Easy Distance that I haven't used yet. They're cheaper than Srixon and they are for slower swing speeds as well.
