The image of new technology (promoted by the pro tours) is what sells clubs for the manufacturers. Without it there would be no Tours.

Not gonna lie, I'd be really curious to see the results if the Tour required every player to play with musclebackbladeforgedplayers irons.

 Wasn't a test, it was fingers going faster than the brain, meant a major.  Thanks and I agree, equipment isn't the problem.
