hey man, ive been playing golf 3-4 weeks as well. my biggest problem is i slice about half my drives and hook about half my irons. your swing looks pretty solid from what i can see here, but im not an expert so i'll leave it to the experts to give you some tips to tweak your swing. i can't see your swing path, like if you're coming across the ball and what not, from this camera angle. just wondering though, what are you hitting into in this video? i want a way to practice in my backyard like that

Callaway Diablo Octane 9.5* S driver
Nike VR-S 3W
Cobra AMP Cell 3H
Callaway Big Bertha 3-10i, 50* W
Ping M/B 56* W
Ping M/B 60* W
Odyssey Black Series #8

I just have a net a hit into with that mat and those mini yellow plastic golf balls.

If you can try and shoot a "down the line" video as well as a "caddy view".  Down the line would be the camera pointing at the target and a caddy view would be directly in front of you if you were to look up.  This will give everyone a better angle to help.  But for a 13 year old who has only played for three weeks.....Great start!

I will do it tomorrow when I get home from school .

That's a nice swing for only playing the game for 3wks! Seriously, I could barely hit the ball when I started.

My initial recommendation is pretty simple.  Get some better camera angles so that we can provide better input.  Check this out to get a better understanding of where the camera should be placed, etc...

Okay start with some setup changes, bend a little more forward which will get your hands more away from the body, you should see some space between the hands and body. The end of the grip should roughly land just by your left knee if you would drop it from setup position. By bending your back forward and letting your arms just hang straight down you will achieve a nice position like this one.

    • Day 35, June 8. Before leaving for work this morning (yes, I'm posting this quite late relative to the practice), I spent 15 minutes practicing at home, into a net.  This time, it was primarily 9-iron (full swings), with some UW (full and half) and a few 6-iron.
    • Day 73: just some mirror work today. Working on feels for being open and getting the front shoulder down.
    • I'm liking this. Finally getting down hands in front of my trail leg pocket consistently at A6 with much better clubhead position (relatively not as tipped out). I can really pressure the shaft through impact with good face control  from this position and stay in balance. Won my first one v one march 5&4 against a 4 hcp who routinely drives it 35-40 yards past me in the men's club match play . Frustrated him with some solid iron play and air tight putting.
    • Day 279 6-8  Worked on low point control skills work tonight. will be doing this for a few weeks. Tonight was just trying figure out how to get low point forward.  No ball.
    • Day 8 (Jun 8 26) - Stayed the drill but added two additional irons (7i, 8i and 9i) - using Divot Board and hard foam balls - focused on tempo and purposed pause at the top….noticing how open the club is marking the board when I try to kill it and how much more square (and better distance) when I focus on these keys.
