Sorry, at least for me, there is no "best" thing. That's the great thing about this silly game. It's the perfect strike, the long putt that had no business ever going in, it's a great recovery from a nasty lie....or a divot in the fairway, it's finishing with a birdie when you've just bogied the last 9 straight holes. What a game......

In David's bag....

Scoring well on a shot, hole, or round; from the choices given

Improving is fun

But the most fun is spending time with my best friend playing a round, with no one behind us, no one ahead of us, maybe playing two balls a hole. Good fun, relaxation, exercise

We both want to do our best, and compete, but its friendly as all hell.

What I don't like? Slow folks ahead of me, playing with strangers, feeling rushed.

Also I play courses with no dress code to speak of

Lots of great things about golf, but hitting a shot flush, pure contact, feels amazing. Nothing like it. I also like the social aspect, playing with friends and meeting new people.

My vote..would be that stretch of time when everything is just clicking and you're hitting everything great.  Doesn't last too many holes in a row for me...but its an awesome feeling when you can hit a shot and you already know its good.

for me its really everything.

But probably on top of the list is that moment where things aren't going as well as I want and I stop and look around at the beauty of the course and take it in.  Then Iget the most relaxed feeling ever and all becomes well again.

I have to pick just one? :p

I feel the best after saving par on a tough hole, although the long putt in conjunction with that is even better! (The latter doesn't happen all that often....yet..... :-p )

And the best part is, it only has to happen once per round.

For me, it's simply being out and enjoying a round with good friends.  If good things happen as well, then great.  I like sharing my successes with them, but I like equally being able to share in their successes too.

For me, it's the overall experience which matters, not the details.
