My trusty FT Tout cracked a few weeks ago. I didn't think Callaway would replace it, but the guy from my local golf course called them up and a week later, now i have a brand spankin new Razr Fit! I am very happy with Callaway that they sent a replacement.
The only problem: They sent it with the Aldila Rip'D 60g Stiff shaft. I might as well be swinging with the head and grip connected with a string. It is brand new, wrapping still intact.
My FT Tour had the VooDoo SVS6 (the red one), which I was fitted for, and I loved it.
So i stop by the golf store and they will give me an FT Tour in very good condition (used) plus $125 in store credit in exchange for the Razr fit. I almost said yes on the spot, but $125 won't get me too far in a store like that...everything is pretty decently priced. So i said I would think about it.
So today I put an add on Craigslist to try to sell it for $300...i think i will wait for a little bit and see if anyone calls on it. But i don't want to hold on to the driver for too long because i want to get rid of it before the price drops.
I am also thinking of calling Callaway and seeing what it will take to get this club with my preferred shaft.
I don't really want to spend any money at this time due to work slowing down for the fall/winter, but i guess if i had to pay a few extra dollars I would at least think about it.
Does anyone have any suggestions for the best course of action here???
