Like to get more speed but based on Trackman I'm around 104 M.P.H. SInce everyone seems to be putting their age and size I'm 20 years old 5'7" 145 pounds. I had a Bridgestone ball fitting track me at 109 MPH but when I went to the Trackman immediately after I was back at around 104. I've also had other radars get me in the 120s (no freaking way!).

My fastest on a Trackman when I was doing long drive was 139mph, although mostly on the golf course I'll play around the Tour average of 111-112 mph.

The Tour Trackman average ranges from 104 (David Toms) to 125 (Bubba Watson).  The LPGA average is 94.  A lot of amateur women/seniors I train go around 60-85 mph.  Most amateur men I work with are 85-95.

Jamie Sadlowski, 2-time RE/MAX World Long Drive Champion regularly runs in the mid-140s at Worlds.  Joe Miller, 2010 Champ, and a few other guys have been over 150!

Got some more averages, numbers, and some swing speed training programs here for anyone who wants to get faster.  PM me if you have any questions or anything.

Mate, just curious....we're both almost the same built and height......what's your driving distance like with that swing speed ? My swing speed is around 95 average, and I carry my driver around 210,215.... Cheers Ray

6'1" 210lbs (168lbs lean muscle)

I've seen my swing speed anywhere from 112-117 mph

Though i think i can probably get faster, which i am going to try to do. I need to really work on my flexibility, i don't get nearly as good hand height in my backswing, and my hip muscles are week. Yea, i haven't topped out yet. Being at 20% body fat, i have some room to gain some more muscle and improve my golf game.

6-1 35 years old. 195lbs Average around 95 but occasionally can get up to 110 when things are clicking. Going to be putting a lot of time in the offseason to work on flexibility, rhythm, and lag. I can hit my irons a mile but always struggle with lag with all my woods. It's all about that whipping action that I am sure some of you high speed guys are good at.

just got back from the golf store and was only averaging 78 mph. Gonna have to do some SERIOUS work to figure out what I'm doing wrong. Pretty sure there are some mechanical/sequential things I need to work out, + add some flexibility....

Pretty sure it was 104-107 on the trackman when I was fitted for my new driver toward the end of the summer.

I'm 48 and am sure I used to swing a lot faster when I was 28.

Of course, I used to do a lot of things faster when I was 28.

    • Ok, it's been a while, but I finally got the 18th hole! It was the only one left over from last year and it took 14 months, but I got it today. It is a slight dogleg right, plays 425 up to an elevated green into the prevailing wind. Playing slightly up, I hit driver and had about 160 into the green. Hit 6 iron to 4 feet and with a straight uphill putt made it center cut! Now I can stop thinking about that hole!  All I have left this year is 5, 15, and 17.  Let's Go!

    • Yeah, that's what most of the guys there were saying. I'm guessing they weren't able to cut them due to all the rain. Or maybe they are growing really fast and since we tee'd off at 6PM... 😜
    • Frankly, one could be forgiven for thinking there was some truth to the rumor as seemed like he was laying the groundwork for a while with his softened stance on LIV.
    • Well, Rory nipped those rumors in the bud: Rory McIlroy: 'I'll play the PGA Tour for the rest of my career' - world number two dismisses LIV Golf link Rory McIlroy says he will play on the PGA Tour "for the rest of my career" as he quashes rumours of him making a big-money move to LIV Golf. I suppose you never know, but it's a stark contrast from how, for example, Cam Smith handled the rumors. Feeling much better about this today.
