Callaway Introduces 2013 X Forged Irons!

FIRST LOOK: 2013 Callaway X Forged irons

Crafted by Callaway Chief Designer Roger Cleveland, the Callaway X Forged Irons, Callaway says the new face design, sole profile and optimized CG Height Progression will benefit all parts of your game, including distance, while making golfers happy with it's appearance.

The X Forged irons newest feature is a progressive CG height modeled after Callaway’s Muscleback irons. The CG position in the long X Forged irons is lower to promote a higher launch and increased carry. CG in the shorter irons is higher for a flatter trajectory and more consistency.

The X Forged irons come standard with the new, top-of-the-line Project X Pxi shaft. It is lighter, softer and is a constant weight shaft.

The irons will retail for $999.99 (8 clubs) and will be available on Jan. 25, 2013.

Look for more information and images to come in our Bag Drop Blog. If anyone has any questions, please feel free to ask and I'll pass them along to Callaway so we can get them answered here on in our Bag Drop

Like the new design, think it's an upgrade from the RAZR X-Forged? Discuss!

Ditto.

These look very nice. I am very impressed

Look very nice...I love irons that don't have badges and colors all over them. Simple and elegant.

I don't know how I'd like the flatter trajectory in the shorter irons, though.  Also, I can feel my hands hurting on a mis-hit already!

The three iron has a little Hogan look to it.

The Callaway Golf RAZR X Musclebacks were legit.  I hit them this past spring at the Callaway Ely fitting center here in Carlsbad.  The new 2013 X-Forged look similar in shape, but cleaner and more refined.  Definitely look like great clubs.  And if they perform like the RAZR X Musclebacks... I'd say Callaway has a winner.

Can we get some top line photos posted?  I'd like to see the offset too (or preferably lack thereof).

Ah, Chip Brewer gets his one name guy, Cleveland, working.

I'm awaiting the Callaway forged VAS Irons!

Joking!

(I owned a set of VAS irons)

I bet the Callaways interact well with the turf. They are very attractive. Satin?

Looks like the sole is a dull chrome (like a Mizuno) from the pics, not the satin they've had from the past few models

I personally like that more myself, though on bright days you better wear sunglasses.

Yeah, I have the MP-59's.  They look pretty - but you're right.  Sometimes you can get a flash effect if the Sun is just right.

I agree 100%. I dislike irons that look like they belong at a NASCAR event. Besides that, after a few years of "bag chatter", they really look beat up. Simple and clean looks beautiful to me.

Great look, maybe Callaway is finally figuring out what their customers want

The top 2 or 3 versions of Razr were pretty nice. A buddy has the Razr X forged (similar to the older X forged but with straighter lines like a Triumph TR7) and they look and feel great. I'm sure the MBs were awesome too. It's all those other versions that were awful. Like almost the entire Diablo line.

Like them a lot. I try to maintain a black/silver policy and those can sneak into my bag anytime they want.

Gives you an idea, I'll try to get some better pics of "address".  I think this top line looks thicker than it actually is due to how the club is sitting.
