I bought a 5-PW set of MP-69s 6 months ago. Love them. They feel better than my Titleist MB-710's. A center face strike is really amazing. I have been hitting a little closer to the heel (lately, clearing my hips too early) but still getting almost the same distance---but the feel and sound is slightly less satisfying. I just bought an individual MP-64 7 iron=---the 7 is my favorite club in the bag right now. Looking forward to striking it. Then I can use my MP-69 7 iron for the driving range---those Top flights and other rock hard range balls are knicking up the forged club face pretty good. Hit some center strikes today with the MP-69 7 iron (and only 1 solid strike with the tiny face of the MP-69 5 iron) that were amazing. To really experience the "buttery" feel you do have to strike the ball in the center of the clubface. This is hard to do with a tiny blade iron like the MP-69. I'm hoping the 64 will be slightly easier. I occasionally hit my cast Ping I-10's but there's just something about that cavity (cast instead of forged) feel that I'm not crazy about anymore. I don't even care for my Vokey wedges anymore because cast seems muffled and dead compared to forged. But I did play with a guy today who was a good player and he was having an easier time with his cavity back Nike irons---or so it seemed. Yes, he really was a good player in spite of his Nike irons.
