I have a question for anyone who has played both the Project x flighted shaft and the DG XP shaft. I currently use the Project X flighted in a 5.5 flex in my Callaway x-22 tours. I was thinking of switching out the shafts on a few of the irons. Mainly the 6i-pw to the DG XP shafts possible to a stiff flex. Everytime I am out and about at a Golfsmith I find myself loving the Mizuno game improvment line and thought this could be due to the XP shafts. I really love the looks of my Cally's and don't want to switch iron heads but was wondering if it would be beneficial to jump into the XP shafts. When at the simulator at Golfsmith I am hitting the Mizuno 6 irons an average of 168 yds. By no means do I really understand the numbers that come up on the screen but I would like to think I can tell when I put a good hit on it. Anyway just wondering what some of you have thought of the switch, thanks

Unless True Temper has recently added to its product line, there is no Dynamic Golf XP shaft. Rather, TT makes a Dynalite Gold XP shaft.
I mention this because the Dynalite line has always been a high-launch shaft, whereas the Dynamic Golf delivers a low-launch shaft. If you have been doing well with test-hitting the Dynalite, it may be you need a little extra lift on launch. Caution: shaft bend point gives a minor adjustment to ball flight. Flex and weight are more important.
I play PX 5.0 Rifle Flighted (from about 2010) in my X20 Tour irons. The flighted-shaft design intends to control launch extremes. In flighted shafts, the long irons get a little extra lift on launch, whereas the short irons get a lower launch to prevent the ball from ballooning (going too high, esp. in wind). I played early-model Dynalites on my last set of irons, and had short-iron problems on windy days.
Flighted shaft marketing is new, but the idea behind it is not. In the mid-1900s, custom clubfitters would achieve the same thing by softstepping the long-iron shafts, and hard-stepping the short-iron shafts.
The weight difference between the Dynalite Gold XP S300 and the PX 5.5 would be negligible (probably 5 grams or less). The Dynalite* "stiff" (5.8 FCM) would be about the same stiffness as your PX 5.5 shaft (6.0 FCM).
* This assumes Dynalite and Dynamic have same FCMs.
As for shaft length, get the X22 Tour irons spec sheet (should be able to find it on Callaway Pre-Owned website).
Unless you really love the X22 Tours, you might consider replacing. Several comparisons suggest X22 Tour are the most difficult to hit of Callaway's old X-family irons.
