If something isn't ironed out by the end of Feb for the April 7th or 8th in Palm Springs... Then I'll step in and put something together.  Tristan/Mike - you two were going to lock down a course in Palm Springs, right?

So, I was going back over the possible courses and all of that and I think we should play Oak Valley in Beaumont. I know that it's not quite the Palm Springs area but for pretty much everybody (except me) it's closer than the desert (about an hour for those coming from the LA or OC areas). Also the course is in phenomenal shape and their regular rate is $55 weekdays and $69 weekends so I'm sure we can get something pretty affordable worked out, more so than if it was in the desert. Given the fact that it's closer, in great shape and likely cheaper than the Palm Springs area, I think we'd get a better turnout.

Oh yeah, one other kind of cool thing... Right by the course is a little sports bar we could get drinks at afterwards called "The Sand Trap."

That's a nice looking course!  And at 7000 yards it looks really tough.

At nearly 6400 yards, I think the white tees would be more than fine. The course still rates 71.0/131 from there... not exactly easy.

I got a chance to play there last fall and it was not packed at all, due to cold wethaer I think, so we played from blue tee and ......well too much for us but very enjoyable.

I remember some fun par3 holes; island green and big downhill shot.

 

It is a very good course for sure and can't beat the price too.
