Jimenez broke his leg skiing

The Mechanic broke his leg? Now that really sucks.

Man, tough thing to happen. Here's praying for his speedy recovery and return to the tee box. 

He was probably jumping out of a helicopter, broke his leg, but managed to avoid an avalanche with his mad skiing skills while simultaneously saving the lives of his skiing buddies.

Working out might be overrated by some, but his ability to bounce back will depend on how hard he works in the gym rehabbing the injury. If done right, we might see him next year competing on the euro tour. Im a fan a Miguel; however, i cant see him spending much time doing the dirty work to get back to form. He's almost 50, what more can he accomplish that he hasnt tried in the last 20+ years.

i see lots of cigars and scotch on the rocks in the " mechanics' future.

I didn't think you break your leg on the bunny trail.  Tough break (no pun intended) for him, this could be the end of his pro career.  It's going to take a lot of hard work on his part to rehab and get back to pro form in the next year.  He doesn't appear to be a gym rat so preventing atrophy in all his muscles will be his biggest challenge.

Not much rehab to a broken bone.  6 weeks good as new.  May need to sterengthen up a little but no biggy.  Tearing things is much worse.  Give me a broken leg any day over and ACL or other such torn stuff.

Might be 6 weeks to walk on it, but articles are quoting up to 5 months before he's back to playing golf on tour.

He had some pins placed in the top of the tibia bone so this is not a simple fracture, i gather.  I suspect the biggest hurdle to overcome for MAJ will be loss of stamina with months of marginal leg activity ahead of him.  His swing may not be affected much but his ability to practice and walk the courses will be tested.

This lack of stamina in older guys, like VJ Singh this past year, shows up on the  fourth day of the tourney when the legs get tired and can't recover fast enough.  Weak or tired legs will bring many troubles to the golfer. 

Very unlucky, hope he recovers quickly !

 A little more complicated it seems.  Sounds like a tibeal plateau.  You are correct since it is now into the knee joint.
