LEFT swing or RIGHT swing?

I have a bit of dilemma. I'm a natural Left hand swinger but I can hit the ball far with my RIGHT hand. So I been practicing my right hand for two months and the consistence of my irons is the same with my LEFT. For someone who's trying to play D1 school and dream of playing the tour. Do I stick with my natural left hand or stick with my right hand for additional distance? The right swing feels so awkward to me. 250yards Left hand driver, 290-300 yards right hand driver. I think I'm getting over 15mps on my right hand.

Aw geez Golf 55, I feel your pain. .I've battled with this over 30 years of playing this game. After going from a traditional swing to an alternative to try and get more consistency in my game ........I'm now thinking of flipping back to right hand to get my dominant hand on the bottom of the club. I.ve flipped from left to right 3 times now. So this is how it goes for me. My dominant hand is my right and when I've plasyed right handed I get power, and a punchy, hands in front of club style that lacks only one thing ...."touch".

I've got down to a 2 handicap as a right hander......but I'd always putt and chip as a lefty. My bag was a total nightmare. But what would happen over time would be I'd lose touch in my 7,8,9,wedge etc.

So I'd go back to left handed and play with alot of "touch" but not alot of natural power. I could "place" an 8 iron on the green from 130meters but over time my dominant right hand would start to become a real hinderance and my swing would become very "pully".......that is my top arm would travel faster than my back arm and I could never really drive my bottom hand over my top hand. My swing would be incomplete and open......lots of high, flicky shots. I'd become dissalusioned and flip to right handed. FRICKEN NIGHTMARE!!!!

Some things are a given.... I'll always putt left handed and I'll always chip as a lefty, but everything else is up for grabs.

Advice? phew! OK , well..... don't flip....don't trade feel for natural power. I mean you can build touch but you cant build natural power.

for what it's worth, play golf with your dominant hand on the bottom.

my 2 bobs worth!!!

are you sure I can build touch? The swing still feels so awkward and unnatural for me. It's true that you can't build power. I been trying to gain distance on my other hand but no luck.

I think I'm just gonna stick with my power hand.
