Mizuno Forged Club care?

Hi!  I just got a set of 2006 Mizuno MP-30 irons that are in great condition.  I did a custom paint fill on the clubs and it looks great.  However I was wondering if there was anything that I could do to make these clubs last a lot longer. The clubs have a few dings and scratches that I would like remove. Can anybody suggest what I can do? Thanks

I just make sure I clean the grooves after each shot and give them a good scrub every couple weeks.  They're soft, forged irons.  They're going to get some nicks and scrapes and scratches in them.  It just gives them character.

Club chatter will cause the irons to get dinged up.  And hitting shots will cause blemishes as well.  

 

Personally, I think you should worry more about the grooves and grips more than anything else.  As Bullitt pointed out, clean the grooves after every shot.  But I also make sure my grips are dry/fresh.  I try and change grips on my set every 4 to 6mo.

There are a few companies that will refinish your iron heads. However, nicks and dings are part of playing forged irons.  These will never effect playability, and may even grow on your over time.  My Titleist ZM set looks pretty rough, but still play great.
