Hello Everyone.
I've been lurking for a while and I have read a lot of posts and articles and really appreciate the advice that you guys give. I was hoping that you could offer your advice on the situation that I find myself in at the moment.
I've been using Irons (Callaway Diablo's) at the driving range and on a short 6 hole course and feel like I've bonded to a reasonable level with them, I'm by no means fully capable with them but I like to think that I can wield them with a certain degree of elegance. My 6 Iron shots average around the 165 yard mark, my 5 Iron slightly farther at 180 and the ball tends to land within a 30 yard radius of where I'm aiming. I would say that 7 out of 10 shots are within that radius and the remaining 3 are out of it, I have also being using the shorter Irons and Pitch Wedge with a degree of accuracy. I don't want you to think I have over looked the shorter clubs and just want to hammer the ball as far as I can.
My question is should I look at adding more clubs to my bag now, perhaps a Driver or a 3 Wood or should I really knuckle down and get my Iron shots as reliable as I can. I've only been playing since just before Christmas so I have very very limited knowledge or experience, and I have never even watched Golf on TV.
What do you guys think?
Cheers
Dave
