My Swing (cipher) - Page 15

Very crazy round. Missed two putts under seven feet for par but shot my best 9 hole round ever.  I only parred one hole.  Made an eagle on a par five and a chip in birdie on a par three.  The long iron work is really starting to show some effects as well.  I thought I was going to blow up after holes 7 and 8 but just decided I would make a birdie on 9 instead.  a2_wink.gif

Looking good bro, great score.

I've been licking my wounds after a horrible and deflating round of something that vaguely resembled golf. Took a few weeks off to reset. I'm over it now and am slowly starting to work on it again.

Yeah, great work Cipher. Especially the birdie on 9 to get you to sub-par.

Just remember to have fun.  You need that time off from time to time though just to re-group.  I was struggling for the last couple weeks as well and just kept telling myself just go out there stay positive and have fun.  It is just a stupid game after all.

You hit the nail on the head.  -2 going into the last three holes and I bogey the next two.  History says I blow up on nine as well.  Just had to re-group and go at it.  Hit and aggressive tee shot for my best drive of the day and a wedge from 99 to 3 feet.  I am more pleased with that birdie than the eagle or the chip in.

Yep...gotta keep choppin' wood. I use that phrase over and over for golf.

I was missing putt after putt and trying not to get frustrated. Ended up getting up and down with a slopey 10 footer for par on the last hole, to tie my best 9 hole round ever last night. It was my only 1 putt of the night. Can't let it get in your head. One hole can't make a bad round (Unless you REALLY blow up), just like one hole can't make a good round.

Just doing some INTENSE slow motion swing work!

Have not had much time to practice lately other than playing in the mornings.  Work has been crazy busy.   Regressing a bit, and still working on the same thing for over a month now.  Frustrated with the lack of practice time and with not improving as much as I would like.  Smoked this 6 iron as far as "most" hit an 8 iron though.  I got that goin' for me, which is nice.

Forgot the real "Slow Motion" Version.

Working on things to help with my key 4 and 5 issues.  This is just a feeling that my instructor has me working on.  I was on vacation last week and tried this feeling on the course with some nice results.  Shot a 35 this morning with the feeling as well.  First time working with "partial"(not partial enough) swings on the range, glove under the right arm.  Still not getting the shoulders open at all but am liking the path of the hands more through impact.

I think...why would the average golfer, myself included, want to punish themselves with blade type clubs like that? a2_wink.gif

For half the price or whatever I will take my i20's any day.

I was going to take a look at the I25's when they come out but I think I'm going to have to check out the S55's. They're just so sexy.

How much are the i20's ? From what I've read the s55's are going to be under $1000.

Such a smooth tempo. So nice.

Thanks!

I have never used any other swing aids per say.  My instructor thought I should try it and it does help with what he is trying to get me to do with Key 4.  I tend to extend too much out and up and this helps me stay closer to the body and in going through the ball.  How I start down is going to be the hardest part, but we only can try and work on one thing at a time.

Well it seems the glove trick was not the right feel for me in transition. My right shoulder drops and I am still dropping the arms and getting them stuck way too far inside. Back to the drawing board. Frustrated a bit with not being able to get this so far but we all know by now I am easily frustrated with not getting something. It will happen, just need to work on it more and find the right feel. Once I fully understand something I can usually find the feel. I am starting to grasp it so we will see. I have nothing but time to work on it this fall and winter if need be. Once I get this it will help my being stuck at A6 and key 4 and 5. I just new to try one thing at a time and it will click at some point.
