Phelps is used to having the best instructors in the world. It is a regular part of life for him. He certainly isn't lazy, 22 olympic medals prove that, sounds like a lot of bias to me, not just from you, but everyone who doesn't like the kid.. Hank was talking about how he knows what it takes, and keep going and going until he hits his goals. I think its his attitude that puts off many, and if you know athletes, they all have an attitude. Hell, the NEED and attitude. You don't become #1 in the world at ANYTHING without strong work ethic on top of gobs of talent, and some cockiness. You need to believe you are the best to be the best.
The difference: Phelps isn't becoming the #1 golfer in the world.
Excelling at one thing does not mean you're going to excel at everything. Or have the same attitude, or approach.
