Has anyone here swapped out their PW for one of these?  I was thinking of dumping my Razr-X 44 degree PW for the Titleist 46, but I'm concerned the 2 degrees of loft and the more blade-like, less forgiving sole may cause significant distance loss...

I have a Vokey 50, 54 & 58 and prefer them over the wide soled irons my set offers, but I'm not sure whether it makes sense to take the plunge and go with all non-set wedges...

Here's the specs on the clubs in question:

RazrX

9i....40*....35.75" shaft

PW.44*....35.25" shaft

GW.49*....35.25" shaft

Vokey

PW.46*....35.75" shaft

GW.50*....35.50" shaft

The Vokey PW would be 6* more in lift, but have the same length as the RX 9i. So, you might have a slightly compressed distance gap between 9i and V.PW (maybe 8 yds. rather than 10). But, if you know the distance you can live with it.

You would just have to check the clubs out... RX heads might be a bit hotter in distance than the Vokeys.

IF you can hit the other Vokeys, a 46* should fit in OK. Also, be aware that Vokey has different sole grinds for different classes of wedges.

Again, go with what works. People do it both ways. Do you have trouble hitting the RX PW?

Focus, connect and follow through!

I have a 44* Callaway Diablo Edge PW and a 46* Titleist SM4 Vokey, and I use them both and they work great.  I bought the 46* because I had too much yardage between my PW and *50. My PW goes about 125 and my 46* about 105-110 and my 50* goes about 90 yards.  It's the perfect setup for me.

Not really trouble hitting the PW, just not liking the wide sole on ANY wedge.  I'm on the fence.  I also get what you mean by the distance gap between 9i and PW...  I like my Vokey 50, 54 & 58, but I'm not sure the 46 makes sense...  At one point or other, you have to stop and run with a consistent iron set.  Whats next, Vokey 9i?  LOL.

Thanks for the reply.  I think I will mull this over further...
